Re: FFR Community Pack II (new thread)
Would you help me with that? Cuz if something sounds like a trill or a roll I'll place it as such. If it seems like things should be varied I'll do that too. Since PR and other technical aspects get compromised in genres like this I'm often left unsure as to what's ideal.

eventually you figure out that the pattern you'd naively expect is actually really boring so use something a little different from what you 'should' be using

Re: FFR Community Pack II (new thread)
That's what I tried to do. And I think Puppet was primarily referring to the high note rolls. Since they're technically trills and jacks 50% slower are still impossible, arbitrarily-placed rolls was the only solution. I was talking to Scylaxx and he tried it and thought I should make an easy chart with these rolls converted into holds. Some other minor things too.

Re: FFR Community Pack II (new thread)
It's fun to go through simfiles in DDReamStudio from famous packs and see mistakes that have been made and unnoticed for some reason.
edit: I'm also talking about major mistakes like stepping a whole eighth note off, and where assist tick is way off from the music.

Re: FFR Community Pack II (new thread)
you can only get so close with just your ears. besides, an error like that wouldn't really be all that noticeable to the player.

Yeah DDReam lets you dial it in within .01 seconds. It's really tough to get it that accurate by-ear. I remember spending forever trying to get offsets perfect at .3x with the standard sm editor.
