Re: FFR Community Pack II (new thread)
after playing it through again the ending isn't that bad and it seems unavoidable really. short of cutting the song itself i think its pretty much perfect given what you have to work with there

Well I'm finally done with my LW file. DDReam is a pretty awesome program. I was able to dial in the sync with some of those really fast colored bursts perfectly!! The hits generally produce very crisp music spikes only a coupel pixels in width which span over like 1 hundredth of a second. So it's pretty safe to say it's synced well enough at least regarding the placement aspect. And Who Cares was kind enough to point out a few things to me. OK, gunna send it now. I hope it makes the cut.

Re: FFR Community Pack II (new thread)
the pack will be 20 files because i want it to be all quality, replayable material rather than packed with a bunch of filler files that no one would play (ffrcp1). it was supposed to go a bit over 20 to ensure the pack would be even better after the quality control process.
ps if you guys want a file in the pack this is the last day remember O.O

Re: FFR Community Pack II (new thread)
im still expecting a kommi and possibly dgk file by tonight but besides that heres the last reviewz
(IcyWorld) both files: huge dumps bad songs no sense of accuracy at all (some guy) Battle with Saruin: surprisingly file isn't terrible. doesn't even come close to touching Amy's though i'm afraid. the bpm tricks dont seem to fit the song very well at all and syncing color notes clearly isn't your strong suit. file also lacks organization/focus as you'll go from stepping the lead as jumpstreams to freeze streams to plain 16th streams to bass drums (??) in the middle of individual sections (Blue Arrow) Duncan Hills Coffee Jingle: i think i judged this already; seems to be a joke file in which case gj its not very funny ;/ (NTM) Ah Shwe Bah: your best file;; mostly things seem accurate and its not understepped which was a nice leap from your previous attempts. a problem comes in with the pattern usage, as mostly it feels arbitrary and this causes a lot of really ridiculous patterns--the 48th/64th bursts are often nearly uncombo'able. theres basically a ton of small pattern spots that should be revised for awkwardness or musical relevance. also auuugh did this song -really- need restepping rofl. i'd be glad to go over it in detail with you (about specific fixes) because there is a place for this file. it might even be in this pack if we can make it good enough ; (who_cares) A Quick Death: with the fixes its actually quite awesome and replayable as hell. this -does- make 3 hard drum and bass "ffrish" kinds of files in here but its well-done and i personally can't find anything wrong with it :3

Now you're obviously a better judge at where arbitrarily-placed patterns are acceptable. Technically most of those 64th and 48th bursts are trills and since that's nearly impossible for most people I figured the only alternative would be rolls. In which case technical accuracy would obviously have to get compromised. But hey, if you could do that and send me a PM with some really detailed info about ideal patterns here, I'd appreciate it. I just wanted to get one of my files in here lol. =P. *edit* Maybe, since those bursts are accurate, a good solution may be an easier chart? Unless arbitrary roll patterns could be improved.
