Hey npv could you elaborate more on my file? Like, where to really look into things?

xingy- it might be your global offset or something on sm.

and with specifics-- if you read earlier in the thread, we're here to tell you why it was rejected, not to specifically elaborate. you should get some trusted people to test out the files for you. we have enough in our hands as it is; i personally start to elaborate when it's a file that has a lot of potential or something like that (or if im just in the mood/have time to)

Honestly, Ive been readin why files have been rejected and learning off of that before Im sending my files. Granted I had to delete everything because of my problem (Im back in business by the way I hope and working on a file for this), but just by reading, I think NPV escpecially and the judges is doing a lot of elaborations already. I dont think you will find any judge writing as much as he is right now. Although we all like specifics on our files, but who doesn't?

You just have to go with ur gut on revisions and hope to god they are what the judges want. Sadly, thats all you can do, but compared to a lot of packs, I think these judges are doing a good job on telling you why files are rejected rather just telling you ur files are rejected with no explaination on why they are.

Not sucking up, but just observations.

Oh god a paragraph from npv. To be honest I was unsure about all those parts and had a feeling you were going to point the **** out of them. You wouldn't mind setting up a time we could get on aim or something to dicuss fixes?

Very, very, confusing file. A lot of the time, mainly in the first half, I don't understand what's going on. Not so sure on some of the 24ths. I disagree with the freezes you have; in those sections, as well, you don't really bring out the melody well. Solo is also kinda awkward. Not sure about a couple of the jacks.
Yeah, I didn't try nearly as hard on that file as I should have, but there's some stuff I'd like help on:
-All jumps in the beginning go to a combination of bass drum-piano chords. Jacks are when two jumps are a note apart because I tried using jack theory. Guess I failed
-I'll check the 24ths and solo again.
-I get what's wrong with the freezes, and I will fix that.

This is such an awesome song and I definitely want a good file for it.

ps. Also Necros judging would be quite awesome, but it would probably take even longer to finish the pack.

uh maybe but two things- 1) i'm really lazy tbh and therefore don't really want to but there's also 2)

the main problems are simply technicality which i can't really help by being on aim; just check it on a lower rate and make sure it's right, and the more subjective parts i'd kinda be messing with your creativity or whatever. i kinda want to try to have less influence on files and stuff (as opposed to the last time i judged)

beginning was just really confusing for me. didn't really understand it. 24ths are pretty subtle so at first i was like are these random 24ths then i was like oh. solo is just kind of awkward to play.

personally, i'd wait until i get opinions from most if not all the judges before i make fixes.

Alrighty. Thanks again. I do guess that the beginning (the first 18 measures?) could come off as freeform the first few times around. Fixed the holds, but that's it.

ps Serenade is ****ing amazing.
