Re: 5th Official FFR Photo Scavenger Hunt Has Begun!!!
If you guys have questions, you gotta be somewhat patient with us. We might be around FFR a decent amount, but it's not 24/7. I try to be on as much as I can to get to these questions but it doesn't always happen right away. ♥ Have to go to class now, I'll do Spon con Credits later -.- I haven't forgotten about you guys.

Re: 5th Official FFR Photo Scavenger Hunt Has Begun!!!
I'm going to guess we'll get a flood closer to saturday haha. Maybe fri/sat range. Before that I'm only expecting a few people to post.
To clarify again: Post as many pictures as you have for the round in one post, but if you get more of them DO NOT edit the post to add them. Simply go and make a new post to add more.

Damnit, I can't do this event anymore - too much to do academically.

Well hopefully I'll have some time, but until then, I did snap one at work. Not exactly the Ferrari you guys wanted, but still pretty high end (I think).

Re: 5th Official FFR Photo Scavenger Hunt Has Begun!!!
Okay, I've got some pics for y'all.
First of all, some human anatomy. I can offer you a face, a phallic-symbol, or a human body made completely from junk-wood, so take your pick: Now someone who photographs me: Me under a vehicle, perhaps? Or would you rather I'd make out with the local trees? Eyes closed, like a boss. Guess what? I'm on a boat: This clown... I just came across him. Standing like a statue in front of a tatoo-shop. (Note: It's the one on the right) Now, the grave older than 1900 wasn't easy to find, even though the graveyard I visited was from the middle ages. Eventually, I found two. Note that the first person listed on the second one actually died in 1899. (Hey, it's still pre-1900, right?) Alright, now a set for which I'm going to be hated by our judges for sure, but... Weeeelllll... I got a few flags for you guys to count. I apologize for the inconvenience. These two pics contain every flag I could find. Sadly, due to the vehicle I was in, I couldn't fit them all in a single picture. Makes counting easier, no? Anyways, if necessary I *could* try to go back there this Friday, on my bike to take another pic, but before I do so, I would like clarification from either judge whether or not that will be necessary. I, too, have a busy college schedule. The one thing I learned today? Have your camera with you at all times. I forgot it this morning, while just this afternoon (on the way home) I could have shot a pic of two animals going at it. Well, there's fifteen point's I'm not getting. One question, though. Does the cop-pic have to be a cop-CAR, or are trucks and vans fine too? |

I believe there is about 66 flags. Maybe you can Google his location and figure it out. I'm pretty sure it has to be documented somewhere.

Re: 5th Official FFR Photo Scavenger Hunt Has Begun!!!
It's definitely not 66 flags. I counted at least 70 in one pic, and the two are at different corners of the block. Look at the top-left building in the second pic. It's the same one from the first pic, but it's not the same set of flags. They're behind the trees in the other pic, and vice versa.
I am willing to make another shot, however, it'll most likely turn out the same way. Pic was taken in front of the Yugoslavia Tribunal, which is part of the UN. I've looked it up real fast, and it should be 117 flags, tops (judging by the amount of members of the International Criminal Court, and the Security Council of the UN. (not counting the UN flag, or the one from the dutch government. Yes, our government has it's own flag... ) Edit: on a slightly related note, does the clown count? |

Oh, well if you're in The Hague, it has to be a UN building. If it is, it'd be all flags of countries in the General Assembly (193).

Re: 5th Official FFR Photo Scavenger Hunt Has Begun!!!
It definitely is a UN-building. Are you sure it should be the whole general assembly, though? Not complaining about that count, though. Heck, that practically means that these pics are worth more points than two-thirds of a full round of this game.
Looks like I can sit back and relax now. Also, I'm both in The Hague and in Delft. It helps when you have to travel a lot every day, when it comes to these kinds of contests. More area == More Better, as we put it in Delft. (The student-community over there has invented it's own dialect of Dutch. We're quite proud of it, too, as Delft has the most extensive Student-dialect in our country) Edit: Does the T-shirt bonus include bonus points in the multiplications? Re: 5th Official FFR Photo Scavenger Hunt Has Begun!!!
Well, after some discussion, Kayla and I have agreed that we are going to have to limit your flag and points count. We don't really want to cheat you because we never specified, but quite honestly we think it would be unfair to a lot of contestants and in a way a disservice to yourself to throw out 200 points for one photo. We hope you can understand our reasoning and aren't too upset with us, but we are going to have to limit the points for the photo to 30 points total. We realize it's low for your picture, but we didn't really expect someone to show up with the UN Flag collection on that. We would have limited it to start if we'd have thought about it.
