Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 2 Songs
For D6, it's not the trills that fucks me up, it's the 2nd half of the song after the trills. It's fucking awkward as shit. I'm sorry, I'm not a big fan of this chart whatsoever, and nor would I pick it for a tournament file, but meh, to each their own.
My best is 7-0-0-2 and that's from AAA'ing everything including the trills, and then messing up at the last like 3/4's of the song. Which, I'm never going to do because /awkward as fuck |

D5 and D7 were my favorites this round! I thought D2 song would be fun to try on pad when I saw it.

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 2 Songs
Can you explain why it shouldn't be picked as a tournament file?

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 2 Songs
Well to be fair that's a perfectly valid reason not to like a chart

I went back and thought about that statement, even before you made this post, and as a previous tournament hoster, it's hard to even begin to explain why I wouldn't use this file. It's like I would never use Mermaid Island either as a tournament song. I know trilling is a chart style and must be used accordingly to execute different playstyles, but it's just bleh. The same can be said about Sonata Qui or Kyrie. D6's song really isn't that hard, to be quite honest, minus the trills (in using your reading ability, you have to time the trills or, on the velo engine, you'll get random goods out of the ass), and then you have to switch up your playstyle for the end of the song that is just slow and awkward at times. Again, as a tournament hoster in the past, and currently hosting one, this is a song, preferably, I wouldn't choose. But, keep in mind, I'm not raging at this song, nor am I complaining about the song nor the fact that it was chosen. I've learned up and down lessons about Official Complaining, and AJ knows first hand lol, so this is merely just my 2 cents so to speak on the matter. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say ilikexd, because quite frankly, my mind is too shot today to attempt to use it further lmao |

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 2 Songs
D1- I felt like I needed a piņa colada in my hand while sitting on a beach in front of the ocean somewhere in the Caribbean.
D2- Didn't play it. D3- Didn't play it. D4- I enjoyed this one even though I only played it once. D5- The first day I was quite intoxicated and became quite frustrated with it being unable to fix my 2-0-0-1 but the next day I was able to enjoy and conquer it. Good file imo D6- Nice. Very nice. The trills took gettin used to but I found it fun with a little bit of a challenge in it. D7- I cried tears of joy and frustration because I loved it, yet I could not do really well on it. |

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 2 Songs
I loved the song and the chart for D3, but I think it should've been a 49. I don't know if it's because newer files are more accurately/logically stepped, but I can't seem to AAA anything else at level 50. Could just be that this song played completely to my preferences - stream, logical patterns and the genre is to taste.
Can't wait for round 3 =D! |

Re: 10th Official Tournament - Round 2 Songs
Thoughts, etc.
warm sea: (The file is by Silvuh, not me.) Very relaxing song, gives me some great memories of Hawaii. Tomorrow Untrodden: The file flowed really well, and that matched the guitar nicely. Good for novices who want to get some stream practice. Rat Twist: The file has a certain pattern (something like 12[34]12[34] and the like) that I see becomes revisited in the D5 file. What a twist! Flame Repellent: Really fun and interesting file, good song choice for stepping. PrawnSkunk, you're becoming a lot better at stepping! A Yodeler in Texas: Goofy song made by a Swiss immigrant in Texas or vice versa, idk. Fun and "tidy" song that has nicely hittable patterns, though the last 32nd roll -will- troll some players for sure. Capoeira Sundance: A very memorable file - the wrong reasons for some, the right reasons for others. I particularly enjoyed it, but it's much tougher in SM than on FFR. I see you've made some small fixes which also really helped improve the playability. (Also, did anyone notice that the 32nd trills in the trill section lasted for 9 arrows before slowing down? Basically, keep in mind that there would be five 16th jacks before the trill slows down. Something to think about when trying to PA this chart.) Shippuujinrai: My own file, and one of IIDX 21 SPADA's boss songs for the Leggendaria event. KUMOKIRI is actually OSTER project, and this would be her first boss song. The chart on FFR is currently an older version. There are some changes that will be applied after this round is over. Don't worry - your scores won't be compromised. If you AAAed the file, you'll still have the AAA after the changes. Nevertheless, please play this file again after this round ends. I hope you enjoy it. |
