FFR Community Engine
Hey guys, I've got an engine here used basically to host any files you guys might want to see on FFR but can't exactly get accepted/sent due to permission issues/etc. If you want something added, feel free to PM me about it.
Basically what the engine consists of is: Dance: Community Files Dance 2: Play-test Funk: Dump/Practice Files Arcade: Removed FFR Files Rock: Pseudo Skill Token Reward Files Classical & Misc: Foxfire667's Offline Megapack Files Secret: Team Pony (MLP) Files Genre 9-12: -awaiting use- If you want to know more, ask. Comments and suggestions can be left through the box on the homepage, or in this thread. http://ffrcommunityengine.zxq.net Have fun! EDIT: In due time you might see a song list for each genre, but I'll do that on a day I'm not busy/happen to be bored.

Re: FFR Community Engine
Suggestion: Get rid of the lag at the start.

Can't. Most files do not have 2 seconds of silence in the beginning of them, causing them to lag. Deal w/ it. |

Re: FFR Community Engine
add two seconds of silence to the .mp3 and then re-sync, before adding the file to the engine. That solves the skipping.

Re: FFR Community Engine
unfortunately the sync on my offline doesn't match the sync on this engine, hate to make justin do all that syncing by himself

Re: FFR Community Engine
What's the actual technical reason for why there's lag during the first two seconds? Is it just there because it's there?

Re: FFR Community Engine
something like that emerson.
Also: Another reason I wanted this engine is because I feel like some good files get overlooked because people think "i can't send this to anyone for their engine because it's not what they normally put in there" which is why I'm not going to be super selective. you can come to this engine for what you like, ignore the rest. that simple.

Re: FFR Community Engine
It might also have to do with flash loading the mp3.

Re: FFR Community Engine
All the files scattered throughout each engine suck. DF, Tarrik's and FFR only plz.

Enough guys. You don't like it don't play on it, it's that simple. There's no reason to keep on in this thread with negativity.

Re: FFR Community Engine
2 seconds of silence lag:
Flash and FFR has to setup the whole file during this time, this is also the reason why there's a tiny bit of lag on the first note of any level. Sync on other engines vs official engines: If a song level id as defined in the playlist xml is not a number, then there will be a 6 frame offset, if it is a number but is below 29, it'll have varying offsets as the initial syncing was done at engine level and not fixing the level swfs themselves. People: How many unofficial engines must exist before you people are happy? |
