Re: worlds smallest laptop????
I don't like how they think smaller tech is so much better. I like smaller tech in terms of transistors and such for faster processors but if they EVER stop making big screen laptops (never will happen) then I would flip S*()$#(*57u because I can't stand looking at screens that small for laptops and ****. To me, this a pointless creation. Laptops like this have very little use to them if you ever cared to play any game on them.

Re: worlds smallest laptop????
well making smaller laptop has it's purposes... I own two laptops... I dont have a desktop pc anymore... or at least I dont sit down and use it... at home I have a lenovo (used to be IBM) touchscreen widescreen laptop for home use, and to do work for school at home... however, the the b*tch ain't light... so for on the move crap I use a lighter hp which isn't the quality of my home laptop... but it serves the purpose for when i'm traveling. It all depends on what your lifestyle is really...

It's just like saying a mp3 player is pointless, why do you need one when you can have a huge stereo instead? Last edited by tangomango; 01-24-2009 at 08:39 PM.. |

Re: worlds smallest laptop????
Totally useful.
My dad travels all the time for his job as a pastor (Yes they do more than preach on a Sunday morning. A LOT more. He works 60-80 hours each week with no day off and very limited sick/vacation days) and his laptop is too big for a lot of the things he has to go to when traveling. Some plane services charge what you take with you by the pound over a certain amount and his laptop sometimes puts him over. This would be very useful. Also, when you have a lot of stuff to take with you, walking and carrying it all can be a hassle. This would let you put it in a coat pocket. So, dependent on your lifestyle, this could be very useful. My only problem is the $900 for it. They could make it so much cheaper so easily considering the processors aren't any smaller than an average one, and they are paying much less to make it. |

Re: worlds smallest laptop????
I tried to type on a miniature laptop a friend brought with him once, it was completely impossible for me to touchtype on.
Small is fine, but not TOO small.

Technically, the iTouch is the world's smallest laptop. It can't do things like WoW or FFR, but it's getting there...

Re: worlds smallest laptop????
Wow, for about $1,100, you can get a 64GB one? My laptop, when I buy the new hard drive will have about 260GB of space.

Re: worlds smallest laptop????
This could be useful if you travel a lot.
I think they gave it more resolution then it needed, and if your going to be traveling 64 GB should be plenty of memory.
