Re: Hancock
That was actually a funny video. How are you still alive now?
Anyways, I think I'll see Hancock...it looks weird enough to be decent, despite the negative reviews.

Also, whats wrong with a movie switching themes? I thought that Hancock was able to do this and still entertain me until the end off the movie. |

Re: Hancock
I thought the movie was really good.
So I guess you did not like the twist.

Re: Hancock
I have no problem with switching themes. It's just the fact that practically the entire concept of the movie seemed to change, as if there was a fine line in the middle of the plot. It had me (among many others) scratching our heads.

spoilers:
Beginning was awesome, got bored during the jail scenes, interest sparked briefly when he got out, and once the other immortal showed up I completely lost interest |

Re: Hancock
To those who say it got a bad review: every movie ever except The Lion King has gotten bad reviews.
In my opinion, the worse rating a comedy or new type of movie gets, the more it's worth seeing. Critics think they're opinion rules all, so they use it to gain power. On top of them thinking they're professionals, this creates bad reviews. People don't want critics who give every movie, or even every movie they like, 5 stars.

just got done watching it online(ima cheap badass)
Anyways, i thought the over movie was pretty good. will smith does a pretty good job being a jerk. A few corny scenes but that didn't really distract me from the flim. Interesting plot twist halfway through the movie, and the ending was pretty good IMO. id give it 8/10 |

I'm not sure how you hate Will Smith, but I guess I'll just get over it.
I think he's a cool actor. Anyway, I'm going to see the movie in like 2 and a half hours. Hope it's good.

You just helped me think my thoughts.
I'd give it a 7.5/10 Only because the head up the ass jail seen had me rolling.

Re: Hancock
Hancock was funny the first half of the movie. The following half lost its charm that made it funny at first. Worth watching though.

Re: Hancock
I finally saw it, and I was far from disappointed. I think some of the people in this thread are too harsh.
Worth the ticket if you go to the movies often. Worth popcorn and a drink, too, if you don't.

p.s. another solid Will Smith film. Although it may have been confusing to some in terms of the plot twist and the sudden change, it worked out well. If you pay attention there is TONS of melodrama throughout the movie, and the characters seem to be portrayed very well. I thought it was cool that for once there wasn't some evil villain that was super badass like the hero, very un-typical and thus more enjoyable because of the unique factor. p.p.s. How the FUK can u not like Will Smith? o.O

Re: Hancock
Seriously, if you don't like Will Smith there's something wrong with you.
I would go see that movie only because he's in it. Not only is his acting ability amazing, he's only got some sexy black man status going on. Haha. |
