So for you "SDG FC" is redundant? And similarly, for anyone who says an SDG must be <10-0-0-0 - would you say that "clean SDG" is redundant?

Re: Definition of SDG
qqwref, yes, precisely.
I think it comes from the DDR parlance where SDG meant single digit great where it was implied you FC'd, had 9 or fewer greats, and the rest perfects (later, perfects or marvelouses). If you told someone you single digit great-ed something when you clearly either didn't FC or had goods, averages, etc in there they would laugh at you. At least that is how the term was used around here. There was also single digit good for the case where you had no greats, 9 or fewer goods, and the rest perfects, single digit average, etc... Since FFR's equivalent of DDR's "great" is a "good", SDG in FFR terms will come to mean full combo, somewhere between 1 and 9 goods inclusive, the rest perfects, and no boos. If you want to make a distinction between an SDG and a clean SDG, then perhaps an SDG can include boos whereas a clean SDG wouldn't. That would be the only difference, if such a distinction were to be made. You'd still need 0 averages and misses even with that relaxed definition. The only reason this might be permissible is DDR didn't have FFR's concept of boos (It had boos but they were more like worse averages). |

Re: Definition of SDG
always went with < 10-x-x-x
and always will, there's no exact determination for a certain score. whenever there's a decision for an exact point of a particular score and the majority of members agree on one over another is as close as it will get it's just based on our own objective views for the situation

To me, clean SDG isn't really important since the scoring difference between 9-0-0-1 and 9-0-0-0 is negligible and if you're at that range of score, you can probably improve it with work. I also consider averages as part of goods, because they do essentially the same thing to your score just at different magnitudes. Misses affect your score completely differently and boos are sort of an addendum penalty of sorts. Since 8-1-0-0 is roughly equivalent to 9.8-0-0-0, to me there's no real reason to consider averages as anything but a more 'powerful' good. Misses negate your score completely IMO and boos don't really matter

Re: Definition of SDG
SDG- single digit good
This means you get 9 or less goods on any one song.

Re: Definition of SDG
Honestly, the first choice doesn't make sense because of booflags. It's saying "I'm sorry, but your score was too good to count as SDG"...

Re: Definition of SDG
"9-45-23-100 isn't really an SDG"
I can appreciate the sentiment, but that's some mean anti-skill at work. (I once got 15-25-0-27 on Lolo. The frame drop was INCREDIBLE...I was essentially playing with dark on.) I'm going with <10-x-x-x because random boos shouldn't discourage one from being psyched about getting single digit goods. Edit: It's technically possible that a missflag can beat 7 clean in combo scoring, but I used this definition when I got a borderline 8-1-0-2 on Hellbeat v1...it meets that requirement in combo, but not in raw. XD
