Cool Song permissions with downloads.

I have compiled four songs that I thought would do well in FFR by someone I recently obtained permission from, Dr. Steel.

At http://files-upload.com/files/487881/Dr.%20Steel.zip , you can obtain the songs. They are in mp3 format, 192 kbps.

1. Drop Da' Bomb- The BEST song ever, and one that needs to be stepped for FFR. It's a remix of old public domain "Duck and cover" propaganda combined with original vocals and beats.

2. Build The Robots- A nice mechanical-punk mix, involving plenty of beats and a full vocal song regarding world domination.

3. Greedy- Involves the story of escape from the mental institution.

4. Lament For A Toy Factory- Details the past of Dr. Steel, involving his building of killer toys such as dolls with buzz-saws and gasoline supersoakers. Not as much beats as the other three, but still an interesting song.

I hope that someone will step these songs, at least for Drop Da' Bomb. That one deserves to be in the Misc section of FFR.

Tick, tick ticking time bomb
On a chain in a padded room
Kaboom Zoom and I'm outta here soon

Chrome dome, goggles on
Dressed all in rubber.

Well, gosh darn, I said it feels so right
Settin off explosives on a Saturday night
Well, countdown rollin' doing UFO drive by's
three, two, one...BINGO!

*Chorus*

Tin toy packed with a hundred pounds of nitro
Let's go toy bomb a roller skating disco
Jolt cola and pop rocks are gettin me high
Feeling fantastic the smell of plastic explosives
Corrosives
here's the doctor prognosis
Take two of these
and don't bother calling me
Cause I'm gone.

*Chorus*

I'm gonna drop the bomb on you.

Oh c'mon, no one is interested? Drop Da' Bomb was almost MADE for FFR!

The artist is fairly famous, and was even on the Tonight Show on December 8th, 2005.

The clip of his appearance is on his web site.

Go to The Dr. Steel Show, Live clips, and click the Tonight Show performance.

You actually got permission from that guy?

Can someone confirm/deny this before I need to change my pants?

I've been e-mailing him since last year, and just now I figured I'd ask him about permission rights. He replied that it was fine as long as it was non-profit.

I have sent the e-mail to Tass, he can confirm this is legit.

I would love to see Back and Forth, Plant X Marks the Spot, or Fibonacci Sequence in the game, but I don't have high quality versions of those songs yet, as I don't have the cd they are on.

The songs I DO have are-

Imagination.
The Dr. Steel Show.
Build The Robots- Sounds good for FFR.
Lament for a Toy Factory.
Greedy- Another good song for FFR.
Bogeyman Boogie.
Marionette.
Drop Da' Bomb- A MUST HAVE FOR FFR.
Bikinigram From Satan.
Childhood (Don't) A Go Go.
Winky In C Minor - Inspector Gadget.
Land Of The Lost.
Raja.

My dear Joseph,

Thank you ever so much for the report, my good man. I am delighted to
hear that your SoldierPack has arrived safe and sound. Regarding technical
difficulties, do feel free to contact the webmasters of ToySoldiersUnite.com
to retrieve your password information.

In terms of the audio experimentation, I am honored and delighted by
this grand idea. Do feel free to submit the music if such music is often
submitted by the users. Should it require any form of official approval or
involve a monetary gain on behalf of the website I shall need to put them in
contact with my legal associates.

Thank you again for the grand support and ingenuity!

> Salutations, my lord! (deleted questions regarding my message board account).
> In other news, I have a propaganda proposition for you. There is a website
that I spend a great deal of my free time on, when I am am not busy
spreading the word of Dr. Steel. It is called flashflashrevolution.com, and
is basically a non-profit online music game. It's like Dance Dance
Revolution, but for the keyboard. At last count, there were 1,310,716
members. This does not count those who play without signing up. A lot of the
music used is by independent artists who have given permission for certain
songs (or, in some cases, all) to be used in the game.
>
> Suddenly, inspiration hit me! What better way to spread your vision of a
toy utopia then in a game? Your website and name would be listed and would
be imprinted into the minds of every player each time they played your song!
It would cost you nothing, and would bring even more attention to you, your
vision, and would over time bring more people to your site (where they will
have the chance to buy your albums and be recruited in your grand plan for
world domination!)
>
> All that would be required would be your reply to me of consent to use at
least one song (Fibonacci Sequence was the one I had in mind in
particular...)

have any questions.
