Default Gaming nerdery question/challenge

It occurred to me a while ago that explaining the word "expressivemanias" to a normal person who has no knowledge of rhythm games, in way that they can understand, that gives them full contextual understanding of the word is probably one of the most difficult deep-in-rabbit-hole nerd things I know of.

By "full contextual understanding" I mean this:

"it's when you hit song notes to colorful arrows to match feelings"

is sufficiently simplified, in that we as rhythm gamers know what the person means by it and a regular person thinks they do, but they do not have full context whatsoever because they don't know what we mean by half of these things or the social divides that have happened over notechart styles.

Explaining the word involves explaining a whole subculture. In a way, it's like explaining "top kek", but even harder than that.

Can anyone think of a more difficult nerd jargon along the lines of how "expressivemanias" is difficult?
