School Escapes
Today at school, my friend an I were crossing the courtyard at our school as we were switching classes. He gets this crazy idea that he can run out of the school grounds and go home without getting caught. I was going to go with him but I get picked up in a car not a bus so I would have gotten caught. He trots along at first and starts running really fast out of the open gate. I thought he was going to get caught by a police officer or somebody but a bit later in the day I get a text message and he said he was at home watching TV.
Has anyone here ever escaped from school (if some of you still go to school) successfully or unsuccessfully? Or have some of you even made an attempt to? |

Re: School Escapes
i havent personally but at my school, it was pretty easy. some of our classes were down the street like our drama building and PE so kids would park down there and pretend to be going to class and leave. not to mention that juniors and seniors could leave campus for lunch so it was like a walk in the park

Re: School Escapes
Ahhh God the joys of the Shakespearience. This groups called Shakespearience would do Shakespeare plays at schools and venues across the nation and every year they came, my friend and I, WHILE everyone was crowded in the hallway trying to get into the gym, would sneak out the access doorways which for some reason had their fire alarms disabled so they didn't set off the alarm when they were opened and we snuck out quietly and unnoticed.
We would go to our cars, go to one of our houses and play WoW or Xbox or something. And since the play happened before lunch, we didn't need to go back to the school till after lunch since we never had to go back to our classes before.

Re: School Escapes
yeah many times. Not like skipping school but just leaving when I have no classes (we aren't supposed to leave but no one really cares). We get "frees" instead of study halls. And I have some at the end of the day.

Re: School Escapes
Sometimes after a class I would just walk out the front doors to my car and go home.
Never got caught by the school, but the parents were a different story. |

Re: School Escapes
I skipped 75 days last year.
Meaning i checked in, went to 1 or 2 classes then left with a friend. Only twice we ran from someone. (one time was security, other was a cop) The cop had all intention since i was later that week arrested for other charges i wont discuss. |

Security? Police? What? lol..
At my school nobody is going to stop you from leaving campus, but if you don't show up to a class 13+ times you get dropped..

Re: School Escapes
I've never left, but it wouldn't be that hard. If PE's outside, you can just go to your car. There are no gates, no guards/cops, and only one camera outside. Since I lived near the school, I could have gone out of one of the side doors that are never locked during school and just walked home.

There was nothing stopping you from leaving our school. You'd face the consequences for skipping the next day but nobody tried to stop you from leaving campus.

Re: School Escapes
I live 13 minutes away by foot from school, and we only have to show up apparently to 2nd period where they record the attendance for the district officials lmao. So I could take off during every other class, and just walk out the front gates. As long I don't have more than 9 absences for a class, I keep credit. =P
The 4 security guards here are crap, and other students knock down the side gates everyday to go to this mini convienent store nicknamed "The Shack", a few minutes away from behind the building. Walking away and skipping is too easy here. :/

My school takes attendance every period so that makes it hard to skip classes or school itself. :/ |

Re: School Escapes
I skipped PE once because I was going to go to ISD, and I just kinda sat in the bathroom stall. I was so paranoid that I was going to get caught.

Re: School Escapes
In my school you can leave whenever you wish, even in the middle of class, and no one will stop you, unless your unlucky enough to walk by the principle lol.
My friend had about 250 absences last year and he passed most of his classes, thats how slack we are up north. Personally my record is probably 50 or so skips, but I don't skip anymore :P |

Re: School Escapes
I don't skip but i am guilty of leaving gym 10 minutes early. The Jr. High kids on my bus give me a high five... I hope they wash their hands i guess.
