[Classical] Pokemon Gold/Silver Champion Battle
I know most people have played Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal.
I decided to create my version of the song played when you battle League Champion Lance. The song is Orchestral, but I used EZDrummer for the percussion. Hope you enjoy, comments are welcome. Listen: http://www.myspace.com/djearthlight |

Sounds legit. Kind of reminds me of the The Black Mages.

Wow, I've been gone for some time, and I suddenly stumble upon this lol. Didn't expect that.
Well, thanks to everyone for comenting on my music. And just to clear things up, I did it all by ear, I listened to the HeartGold/SoulSilver version on YouTube then I began putting notes in. I can use a screen recorder on FL Studio to show you it's not a MIDI file. The song can use alot of remastering, but it was just something I did on a boring day. |

Sounds very sound-font-y.
The percussion takes on a very non-orchestral sound too. Sounds almost like metal. Maybe you were aiming for it sounding like timpani, but it comes off as rolls on a tom to me. Could be wrong here though, I'm not exactly an expert on orchestral music. I don't hate it, all-in-all though, but that's probably because I automatically love all Pokemon music.

It's alright. Fix up the bass with Froot Loops. Acctually, just use FL. Don't use EZDrummer, it's not all that good.

I'm enjoying it the way it is. The creepy tone to it is really neat.
Edit: I like most of the songs on that myspace... are they down loadable? Last edited by Xx{Midnight}xX; 09-27-2009 at 11:31 AM.. |

Nice DJ Airwave, What mixing program did you use? I use Mixcraft 4.5 and Audicity for most of my musical mixing needs.

Re: [Classical] Pokemon Gold/Silver Champion Battle
Shut up KgZ, your Starwolf remix is awesome.
Still, that's why I never work with MIDIs when I remix something. Putting together the main progression by ear usually gives me a lot of ideas for new melodies/harmonies than I would have if I had everything pasted right in front of me. Though I understand not everyone has perfect/relative pitch so I wouldn't hold that against anyone either. It's not bad, agreed that the drums don't fit. Orchestral rock usually leans more towards rock than it does orchestral music, instead of the other way around. |

Music's pretty good. I feel that you should just leave it like that.
