SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
Hard Song Special Batch [May]
On account of the 10th official FFR Tournament being in the works, a batch catered to higher-level submissions will be opened to help fill appropriate slots. PLEASE READ ANYTHING IN RED, AS IT IS IMPORTANT. Submissions are open for this batch NOW, and will remain open until May 31st. Unlike previous hard song batches, this batch is SAP dependent -- therefore, your cap will be applied. This will allow our more prominent simfile artists to submit more content for potential inclusion. All submissions need to be sent as a .zip/.rar file to specialsubmissions@gmail.com. I will not check the other batch e-mails; if your file is present in the other e-mail, it will not be retrieved for this batch. Any brand new files submitted to FFR in the month of May ending up in the regular submission e-mail MUST BE LABELED AS [Mar/Apr] if they are being sent due to the extension. Files sent to the regular e-mail May 15th or later will be ignored. (Fixes can still be sent to the appropriate e-mail as labeled on the queue/batch discussion thread.) Submission rules for this batch: - Files need to be at least 72 in difficulty (in the middle of the For Masters Only difficulty) [1-99 scale], preferably higher up the scale. If I feel like this file has no potential to reach that difficulty scale, it will be removed prior to being sent to judges. - This hard song batch only encompasses half of a batch period; files sent in June will NOT be part of the hard song batch, but they will reduce your SAP for the May/June period! Quoted from the Queue/Batch discussion thread: Quote:
- There is no resubmission system for songs that are used for this batch. - THERE IS A BOUNTY FOR SONGS USED ON THE MONSTERCAT LABEL. REFER TO THE FRONT PAGE FOR MORE INFORMATION. Judges (to be determined) Last edited by TC_Halogen; 05-1-2014 at 10:02 AM.. |

Re: SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
What's the point?
If you have a hard file in the other batch, I would assume then it would have the same type of judges so......... |

Re: SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
Well that's one way, but I was directing my question towards rCaliber, haha, sorry about that!
I'd just assume this is for people who have hard stuff stowed away and don't want to send them in the regular batch. |

Re: SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
So are sap points done based on each individual batch submission or is it joined?
Like if I submit 5 files to the regular batch am I still able to submit another 5 files to the hard batch and monster batch?

Re: SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
And on that last day of May, in the year 2014, Tidus810 submitted a single file to FFR's Hard Song Batch. And this file would contain no less than 4848 arrows.
it went okay (btw if for some odd reason the .dwi is randomly offset by a 192nd towards the end of the file please ignore it and refer to the .sm, kthx.) |

Re: SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
Alright, so there seems to be a lot of confusion with the way this works, so I'm going to address it really quickly. First off, the special batch only counts for May, but a batch period is two months (May/June). There are no batches dedicated specifically for Monstercat -- you can submit Monstercat files during the hard batch in May, the regular batch (of the same period) in June, or, until the 15th of May, into the March/April batch, as it was extended to potentially allow people to submit files there. Continuing on:
The March/April batch has been extended to the 14th of May, so that people who have remaining slots in the regular batch can submit their Monstercat related stuff (or anything else for that matter) to fill up their cap for the months of March/April. If you have already filled your cap for that month, you are not eligible to submit files for that month anymore. The May/June period encompasses two different months, and the first month of the two is specifically hard files only. If you don't have any hard files that you want to submit to the hard songs batch being held in May, you will hold off on submitting until June, after the hard songs batch has ended. Quote:

Taking Anaru's situation into consideration (feel free to apply situation for your own SAP): if you submit your cap of four files for the hard songs batch, then you will have no files remaining for the month of June because May and June are in the same batch period (see the original post, and/or the Queue/Batch Discussion thread's OP for batch period outlining). This is no different than how the batches have been before in terms of how many files can be sent over a two-month period, the only difference is that this batch is intending to rack in harder songs as opposed to the general mix. |

Re: SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
I sent Firstaidvision to regularffrsubmissions on April 13th and that file is more suited for the hard songs batch. Should I resend to specialsubmissions?
Lettuce Regulation is for the regular March/April period which is extended, but that email was sent before the labeling notice. It's not labeled as Mar/Apr |

Last I remember, you fixed up a lot of stuff. I take full blame for the shit patterns in the second half in the "original version".

Re: SPECIAL BATCH [May]: Hard Song Special Batch
Honestly, looking through all my files, the irony for me is that this hard songs batch is likely to have easier files than I've submitted in the past few batches.
All my Reizoko Cj files as well as You Time and some others have been 90+ files, up to 97 or so. So I might focus more on the FMO/low FGO range for the hard songs batch. That's just how it goes. Also, if I wind up having time after finals I might try to finish up some old collabs that I've been neglecting (Intrusion, Robotomy) we'll see. I might have a job starting the day after my last final which would sorta kill all my time to collab >_<
