Couple questions about FFR
Whats the main idea of this game? To get good at remembering long patterns? Or to develop reflexes to handle any situation?
I love how this game tests my reflexes and co-ordination, but i would get bored playing a song more than a couple of times. To 'AAA' a song, do the pros need to practice that song a lot? To me it would be preferable if the arrows were randomly placed according to the tempo of the song, so every song has a new layout Or at least there was a game mode like that, with its own ranking system, so you could compare your reflexes and co-ordination skills to the rest of the world, rather than just your memory skills. BTW if there is already a game mode like this, LET ME KNOW! :P |

Memorizing eradication or eclipse...
Heh... Anyway, this game is about both. You need good reflexes, and practicing patterns.

Re: Couple questions about FFR
While I am definitely somebody who believes in playing by reflex, patterns do exist for a reason. Random patterns tend to be very awkward. Intelligent and wary stepfile artists know what patterns are fun to hit even for somebody who has never played the level before. Although I suppose random would offer its own challenges. No, as of right now, there's no random.
And plenty of the "pros" AAA even the harder levels on their first try. Like Hecto said, this game is about both. |

Re: Couple questions about FFR
Ahhh ok awesome, cheers for the replys guys.
Must need to develop mad reflexes to pull off AAA's on any level above easy on your first try at it. I see your point about making the patterns fun, but i think it would be a good challenge if it were random. Perhaps decent algorithms could be created the made decent levels randomly, who knows... |
