Sync
Right, so I'm going to enlarge upon what Goldenwind has been explaining for awhile.
You can slow down the song to sync it(which is what I do) and to do this, press escape while in the song editor and go to 'Song Options'. Here are the options to slow down the song from 0.3 times to 2.0 times(though you can add faster or slower times but it would probably be really weird and SM would crash, i.e. GloVE playing One More Lovely at 5.2) and to add the Assist Tick. Personally, I don't enjoy using this because it's usually slightly off(read Goldenwind's thread) and the sound bugs me. I recommend a slowdown to 0.5unless it is a fast song(i.e. faster than 400 BPM), because it is half the speed the song normally, and I find I sync better with it on.(Disclaimer: My Simfiles are all joke files making fun of Dan23 don't play them). Some people like using a Double Setup with the song on normal speed, that way jacks and certain fast bursts are stepped more accurately(though this I do not recommend, because if you're trying to sync jumpstream and do this you're going to end up with alot of jump and no stream -_-) Okay, now to the speed of Arrow/Noteskin Movement, in the same menu you got to for the 'Song Options'(Pressing Escape) go to Player Options and adjust the Cmod/Xmod to what you want. This is if you want to see better the exact position/beat that you put the note, otherwise A. The sync will be off, B. The Pitch Relevancy will suck(Correspondence from music to notes), and C. You'll be confused about certain parts of the file and won't know how they are played out from what you did. Okay thats the first part. More later. |
