Your Speed Mod preferences...?

Just wondering what each of you set your speed mod is. Or if you even use one. I started with 1.25 (I'm relatively new...) and it helps a lot for most songs, but I'm wondering what level I should stop at. I plan on getting really good, and I hear that most people play at 1.5 or 1.75, what level should i get to and leave it, and why? Thanks guys

when speed mods became public, started with 1.25, then went to 1.5, then 1.75 and ive been using 1.75 ever since

I use 1.5x. Most use 1.5 or 1.75, but i think that its just a matter of preference. The reason i stopped 1 and then 1.25 is because they felt too slow. I havn't left 1.5 because it feels just right for me.

it sometimes depends on the song for me, but usually i stick to 1.25 when playing index, and 1.5 when playing one handed.

well i am thinking about staying at either 1.5 or 1.75, so thanks guys. if i can read it at a faster pace like 2 or 3 should i go to that? because i heard that the faster you can do it, the better you'll be, because you can separate the notes, is that true?

if your PA is better at 2 or 3 switch to that when you can read it

I like to use x2.0 for that same reason and x1.75 is too slow for me.

When I saw the speed mods, I tried a few of them. I didn't see much difference between 1x and 1.25x, but 1.5x had a pretty good result for me. I've tried 1.75x, but most of the time it's too fast for me, so I rarely use it. I've only tried the ones faster than that for fun -- I don't use them regularly. So kind of like Cosmic M, I use 1.5x because it's a good speed for me.

I used 1.75, and make my screen small enough, so that only the game shows. It speeds up the steps, and makes it easier to see.

you mean you make the box right around the game? that's a good idea. is that what screencutting is? i saw this one youtube video of this guy and he had the window like cutting out 70 percent of the video. is that screencutting? and if so what's the point or benefit in that? or is there a sticky or something about it? thanks guyssss

Yes, that's what it's called. It's very effective, too. The point of it is, that it makes the steps...less apart, so they're easier to hit.

2X, I play C650 on SM, it's the closest I can get without going over. (Lol The Price Is Right)

Since 2x will randomly lag when you least expect it (for me, anyway), I use 1.75x, and screencut when necessary.

First 1X then Screencut for a long time (no speedmods lol) then 1.25X then 1.5X for a long time(3-4? month) and now since 2 weeks 1.75X
