When I Art...
So I have gotten into photography recently, as some of you might know.
I'm a beginner, so any critique would be great! I'll go ahead and upload a few of my works, and keep this updated if people have any interest. I'm not that big on photoshop, so most of the photos you will see will come right out of the camera, or have minor color correction. Enjoy! Perhaps it's corny to name my pictures, but I am doing so anyway: End of Winter: End of Winter 2: Isolated Individuality: First of Spring: Waiting to Bloom:

Re: When I Art...
Sorry Xiv. ha.
It's hard to come with tips because I really don't have anything wrong to say. The compositions are very nice and you use light very effectively. The contrasts work well but on First of Spring, the colours are a bit oversatured for me - that's more a personnal preference because I like to keep earthy tones when photographing nature. I'm interested to see what you can do with wider shots.

Re: When I Art...
yoooo this is ballin
and the subject matter of the stems makes for great diagonals so they're solid composition-wise KEEP IT UP~

Re: When I Art...
Isolated Individuality is by far the strongest photo of the bunch here IMO. The composition and texture created by the cluster of flakes is really awesome to look at.
The only thing I might change is boosting some of the levels of highlights in the isolated flake, more clarity, and perhaps playing with Shadows/Highlights palette and masking it just to the snowflake (just so the contrast between the bunch of flakes and the isolated one is even more strong).

I would be honored
Macro photography. In other words a lens thats pretty much the equivalent of a microscope. (Also not sure why this Xiv thing is now catching on and becoming a thing lolz) I need a wider lens lol. It's on my list to get, once I scavenge enough money again. (Perhaps I can make my night-sky lens my wide... whenever I buy it lol) Quote:

Re: When I Art...
Why would you post that bird in black and white man? Peacocks have so much color you should show it in color!
Also, the tiger has a cool pose and composition is good but the resolution of the photo is pretty poor.

Re: When I Art...
You could totally write an interpretive paper on the significance of this image being in black and white.

Below is what it would look like in color. Color correction is still a bit off, but I dunno I feel like I get a lot more without color. Yeah, I know I mean it's my own fault. The quality gets better zoomed out, but you loose the composition and look. I dont know. Perhaps I should have used the blurriness to my advantage and made it look distorted on purpose? I dunno. But dude, thanks for saying that. I need people to tell me what's wrong with my photos so I can improve. +1 for you!
