great. Looks like we'll have to suffer the extremely watered down version of pain night grand tin -_-. I was looking forward to the trill...Oh well, but hey, we got easy songs this time 8^)

Re: New Songs: September 22nd, 2011
Just played pain night grand tin again... laaaaaaaaaame no more megatrill, it's pretty tame now. Oh well.
Off to try the new songs~ EDIT- fuccen 64th garbage on the new VC, terrible patterns wow Really ruins what is otherwise a fun chart and amazing song. Not a huge fan of the 1-handed patterns near the end with the 8th jacks and triplets but I can deal with those, but the crap rolls at the beginning are just... blah.

Re: New Songs: September 22nd, 2011
Jumptrill them and blame ffr conversion. \o\
World Revolution was fine imo. Wind Waker Unplugged was alright I was wondering why it was a 8, but the length + ending + hands seems to make it about right. Happy Happy Shining Star!! [Light] felt like something was missing in the middle of the song when we hear those extra noises. Otherwise, it was alright too. Space Entropy was good, I don't really see anything else that could have been done with the chart. |

World Revolution is really hard for me to understand, then again I suck so don't take my opinion that seriously. Wind Waker was adorable, I'll AAA it later when I'm on a better computer. Space was easy, song was nice. When I saw HHSS my heart sank. Dat song. >.> lawl.

Re: New Songs: September 22nd, 2011
Wind Waker Unplugged was an excellent file. Not going to comment about the difficulty because I don't really understand that stuff, but as far as the file goes it was a wonderful little song and well stepped, no complaints.
EDIT- Space Entropy was fine. Nothing glaringly wrong = fine for an easy file, doesn't have to be something super spectacular awesome as long as the newbies enjoy it. Not sure if HHSS was needed because the now-heavy chart was fine but okay. The only thing wrong with it was no 2 sec of silence at the start so the arrows overlap the READY screen but that's a minor gripe. They seem a little too slow to jumptrill... certainly I wasn't able to do it without either missing or dumping averages and crap. Regardless, they're terrible patterns considering the difficulty of the rest of the file. The more I think about it the more I also don't like the triplet patterns at the end too, they're kind of unnessecary.

Re: New Songs: September 22nd, 2011
Space Entropy; no complaints, good easy song.
HHSS; I like the harder version more and it does seem empty during the claps where there's trills in the harder one, but works for an easy file. WWU; I heard some grace notes that could have been stepped but I dunno if it would have compromised the difficulty. My favorite of the bunch. World Revolution; utterly disliked. Felt like a chore to read and play. Least favorite.

The grace notes that were ignored where ignored because I was focusing on another sound or Becquerel it would've led to awkward bursts

This. The file doesn't flow at all IMO.

Re: New Songs: September 22nd, 2011
Happy Happy Shining Star!! [Light] - I really liked this one, good file for a light difficulty.
Space Entropy - Easy and enjoyable. great job. Wind Waker Unplugged - My favorite of all 4... The music is great, and the steps... well, it's a Carlos file, amazing as always. World Revolution - Really tricky file... but once you know how to jump trill the 64ths, it becomes easier. |

Re: New Songs: September 22nd, 2011
I disagree completely with what seems to be the general opinion of World Revolution. It wasn't anything special, but it wasn't bad. Certainly not as bad as people seem to be making it out to be. The 64th's were incredibly slow and flowed very well. Despite that fact that I didn't like the way some of it was layered (or not-layered [based off one playthrough]), it felt like it flowed pretty well.
