Echolocation
http://www.destructoid.com/want-to-m...r--47525.phtml
I stumbled upon this a few minutes ago, it's rather remarkable that humans can train themselves to do this.

Re: Echolocation
Very neat. He just needs a blowhole and he's good for ocean life.

Re: Echolocation
That's remarkable. It also helps that his mom supports him so much and encourages him to go do whatever he wants to do. I think Ben will succeed greatly in life and hopefully this isn't the only time we hear about him.

Re: Echolocation
Inspiring. I read recently on a credible site (no source, sorry people) that the sight-center of the human brain will develop its own spatial awareness during extended periods of lack of actual sight that allows the blind to "see", only in a different way than those gifted with sight.
This boy has taken it to the next level, further adapting his already-proficient senses as a blind person to become something more. |

Re: Echolocation
According to Google, he died from the same cancer that claimed his eyes (retinoblastoma) to begin with. He developed a tumor in his sinus cavity.
