Flash works differently from OS to OS cause they use different binaries. The OS with the most market-share is obviously going to get the most attention, and more people are going to complain about its bugs. Windows btw is way more unstable and overall ****tier than OS X.

CPU usage goes down to normal as soon as I switch to the other tab, if this helps.

I'll upgrade my OS to 10.6.5 and test whether the bug still persists.

EDIT: Just upgraded to 10.6.5, but prochat still eats up 100% CPU usage.

Well, that's the problem with having 100 times the capability and features. The more you let the user do, the more unstable it is going to be.

Is there anything Windows can do that Mac can't? Running specific software doesn't really count as that's up to the software developers rather than the the OS. I think Windows just needs to rebuild it's core components. A lot of it seems horribly dated. Not saying if you use Windows you're dumb, I use Windows quite often to play games and flash applications work better for it because Adobe focuses on Windows rather than Mac or Linux. Not trying to start an OS war. Each OS has it's place.
