broken wrist :(
so yea i broke my wrist in gym on tuesday. We were doing this stupid drill where we sprint backwards as fast as we can, needless to say i lost balance and fell over and landed hard right on my wrist. As soon as i hit i knew it was broken. what's retarded is I broke my shoulder last year feb 13th, and the wrist this year on the 17th.... February is not a good month for me. This sucks i cant do anything i enjoy in my life. no lifting weights, no ffr, no video games,no skating, no tennis, no playing saxophone in band, no speedtyping. I'm bored as hell and i've been watching tv/sleeping all day for the past couple of days. sorry for this long rant. might as well make this thread semi productive by asking the Question- What was your greatest injury?

Hopefully it was the wrist you don't use when you're all alone. <3

Re: broken wrist :(
Hmm I can honestly say I've never broken any bones. Although I do have some scars from road rash =/ Otherwise I'm a pretty lucky kid.

Re: broken wrist :(
That sucks pretty bad, start playing one handed
As for worst injury, I had a concussion skating when I was younger, if I didn't have my helmet on I would have cracked my head open. Though being I had my helmet on, I guess it wouldn't be my worst injury, just could have been. |

Wow... I don't even want to know how long it took you to type this thread with one hand (although I do kind of know because I've attempted to type with one hand before). Hope you're a quick healer.
As for me, I broke my arm going down a spiral slide with my dad (yes, at the same time) when I was about 3 years old. |

Re: broken wrist :(
Ran into a parked 1976 Chevy Suburban when I was in 8th grade.
I was playing football with the neighborhood kids, and on that play I turned around to catch a pass while I was running. After I jumped and caught the ball, my body slammed into the front of the Suburban. Hit my head on the hood and chipped half of my right front tooth and cracked the left one down the middle. Bruised my hip/pelvis area pretty bad too, so it hurt quite a bit to walk for the next couple days. Went to the dentist like a week later and literally sat in the chair for 3 hours while my front tooth was reconstructed. The cracked one never actually broke out, but it still has the crack in it. Will eventually have to get my front teeth veneered. I've posted this before: That was from Ultimate Frisbee. Slipped in some wet grass and ****ed my ankle up for weeks. |

Re: broken wrist :(
I had a stress fracture in my ankle back when I was running varsity cross country in what could have been my best season in high school. I know how it feels to be sidelined and bitter At least you know that the next time you play FFR it's going to feel oh soooooo good

Re: broken wrist :(
got hit in the face with a baseball and broke my nose, look at pictures on profile. you can see there is a huge lump in the middle and its angled to one side. i feel onto a stick and it punctured a whole in my back like 1/2 in deep. fell off a metal horse thing and had a gash across the length of my back. i won't say any more. >.> my back sucks.

Re: broken wrist :(
Jelly... =( Sad days.
My worst injury was self inflicted. I went into a wall and a bench full speed on my skates, I didn't hurt myself to bad. But man did it hurt like hell. (I skated the rest of my race... I refuse not to finish.) Another one more recently: My skate wheel was loser than i thought (Me and speeding I guess.) I twitched and it made me go flying into a wall. Holy hell it hurt to play FFR. Nothing compared to yours though. I might suggest taking up photography in the mean time. |

Re: broken wrist :(
I've broken my right collarbone playing football, it was just some friends and me, and I actually got tackled to the ground, and both of our weight just came crashing down on my shoulder, I lied there for a while, then I got up, and the tears came instantly.
Blah blah, went to the hospital, got a sling, all better. |

Re: broken wrist :(
Ahaha, I see what you did there.
I've never broken anything in my body. No, really, never. Not even a toe. I've been lucky thus far.

Re: broken wrist :(
Long story short:
Fell off of the rock wall at school about 5' on my toes and twisted my foot about 100 degrees to the right. Tore my atfl 95% and my itfl 35%. Also probably tore another ligament, but I hve to get another MRI first.

Re: broken wrist :(
I broke all my fingers playing football.
Hit this fat d-lineman so hard he flipped one way and my fingers flipped the other. Also broke my wrists squatting 750, I got it once and tried again and my wrists went out on me |

Re: broken wrist :(
It's funny, I've endured a lot of things, but broken bones is just not one of them. /shrug, there's always plenty of time in the future for that.

I don't think I've ever broken anything, but I hope you can heal soon.
