A forum quiz
Ok, so I keep seeing these posts and threads that are breaking the rules and stickies and it gets really annoying. I was thinking for all new members when they go on to the forums for the first time they get a list of all of the important rules and stickies and then just take a short, easy quiz as long as they read the rules. I don't want them sitting on the computer for half an hour studying or anything but just a 5 minute quiz and a 5 minutes reading the rules so it would only take about 10 minutes and it would make the forums a lot less annoying. So lets review the reasons:
1. It will make the normal members a lot less annoyed 2. It will save the new members from embaressment 3. Most people don't read the rules and stickies. P.S. make sure you have a quesion asking if it's okay to make a thread that is just asking opinio |

Re: A forum quiz
no. *shrugs* newbs asking newbish questions is part of ANY forum community. even I asked those newbish questions when I first joined ("hey! i got a AAA on mario, why isn't my rank 1?!?!" was basically my first thread/post).
i think most of us have gotten used to it. the only people who HAVEN'T are those who haven't been around long enough to understand that it is just part of the forums.

Re: A forum quiz
The quiz would take way too many resources, anyway.

Re: A forum quiz
We've thrown the idea around many many times before. It just won't happen. Takes way too much time to code and upkeep and people would just BS the answers anyway.
We have staff for a reason, anyway. |

Re: A forum quiz
Ok. Yeah I guess I'll just get used to it. I'm pretty much a newb too but I did read the rules and important stickys.
