Default SM help

Hey, Im a new Stepmania player, and I dont know how to put songs into stepmania. I have a website with songs on it, but I dont know how to get the songs into stepmania, if somebody could help me, it would be great, thanks.


PS: If this is in the wrong section, im sorry and move it to the correct one.

Well, I have the stepmania folder open, and I dont see any songs folder in it.

If you already knew the information in that thread, then why did you post in the wrong forum?

Stick the song, .sm/.dwi file, and any graphics in a folder with the song name as the title, stick that folder in C:\Program Files\StepMania\Songs\All Songs.

It looks like you have a zipped file open in winrar.

You need to extract the folder out of that .zip and put it in the StepMania directory that you have open.

Ok, I tried extracting the sim folder into the new folder I just made, but I got an error message

ok since you made a folder and your in the folder just drag the things in the zip and drop them in the folder

I tried to do that, when I drag it a circle with a line through it comes up signifying that I cannot drag

This seems entirely unnecessary.

Notice in the first picture, I have a zipped simfile that I just downloaded off the database. Extract it onto your desktop.





Now, click and drag.





It's that simple.
