The Professor is in! (Sonic fans stop by here!) ~Now taking requests!~
Ok then. I have been busy with a few simfiles (most of them from Sonic games) and I'm going to list them all here for your convinence. Plus, I can do requests for songs, but I'll need help if i can't get it. (Bur chances are, I won't)
Currently Uploaded: Boiling Pot (Super Monkey Ball 2) - Amusement Vision Inside The Whale (Super Monkey Ball 2) - Amusement Vision Bubbly Washing Machine (Super Monkey Ball 2) - Amusement Vision Space Colony (Super Monkey Ball 2) - Amusement Vision Shotgun Kiss (Casino Palace - F-Zero GX) - Heidenori Shoji Skydeck A Go! Go! (Sky Deck) - Sonic Adventure *recommended* Up to 40 downloads! Thanks guys. Tricky Maze (Lost World) - Fumei Kumatani*recommended* Cipher Admin Battle - Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness You Have Nowhere To Go - Fumei Kumatani? Giant Palace At Night - Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg Right Now(DDR 5th ver.) - Atoimic Kitten Pass That Dutch - Missy Elliot *Full Version* Collision Chaos "B" Mix Collision Chaos "G" Mix (Fixing) Collision Chaos "P" Mix (Fixing) Tidal Tempest "B" Mix - Sonic CD Stardust Speedway Stardust Speedway "G" Mix Stardust Speedway "P" Mix The Dreamy Stage (Casionpolis) - Sonic Adventure Crying World (Planet Automaton) - Ristar, the Shooting Star ~Announcement!~ Once I get the requests cleared up, I'm gonna start a Sonic Adventure series, although I can't do it on my own. I've got 33 songs for the series, but with no theme songs except for Open Your Heart (which I might cross out since it's been done to death on FFR) and Theme of E-102 Gamma (which I might get rid of cause it might be too slow). If you wanna be apart of this expedition, please PM me. I still need step artists and someone to do graphics (I'm not the best at GIMP yet). Please join in, I don't want this idea to die on me. So far: In order of Sonic's stage order Azure Blue World: Silvuh Windy and Ripply (: Silvuh Big Fishes At Emerald Coast: (open) Windy Hill: (open) The Tornado: (open) The Air: (open) The Dreamy Stage:Me (done) Blue Star: Me (open) NiGHTs Pinball: (open) Dilapidated Way: (open) Snowy Mountain: (open) Limestone Cave: Me Be Coll, Be Wild and Be Groovy: (open) Twinkle Cart: Me Pleasure Castle: (open) Run Through the Speed Highway: (open) At Dawn: (open) Mt. Red - A Symboll Of Thrill: Me (done) Red Hot Skull: Me Skydeck A Go! Go!: Me (done) General Offensive: (open) Tricky Maze: Me (done) Danger! Chased by Rock: (open) Leading Lights: Me Mechanical Resonance: (Open) Crank The Heat Up!: (open) Bad Taste Aquarium: (open) Red Barrage Area: (open) Theme of E-102 Gamma: Silvuh Crazy Robo: Me Join Us 4 Happy Time: Me Introduction (with movie): (open) Twinkle Circuit: (open) Sand Hill: (open) *might cross off* Total in series: 34 One's not included: Fakery Way Goin' Down the other theme songs Open Your Heart (And you can't bicker enough to change my mind) P.S. Releasing the songs separately is the stepartist's choice. Some songs will only be avalible in the pack, so if you are doing this pack, don't release every song you do, okay? Fix those links. There's 2 "http://" in them.
EDIT: Found them. Here they are: Collision Chaos "Good Future" Collision Chaos "Past" I wanted to make Sonic CD sims. Oh well. I downloaded them, so I'll tell you what I think after I play them.

Re: The Professor is in! (Sonic fans stop by here!)
Bump-ish...
Okay, here's what I thought. "G" Mix - Lots of colors in your arrows. Not the prettiest rainbow arrow syndrome. The bpm changes were strange, and didn't fit the song well. "P" Mix - Okay, the stops were bad. No way around it. They didn't go with the song, and it seems like they were placed in at random points. Made for an offsync and generally very "unfun" file. I didn't have a liking to the patterns or arrow placement in either file. Neither seems to be worth keeping on my Stepmania. I hope my criticism is helpful to you. |

Re: The Professor is in! (Sonic fans stop by here!)
Okay, I'll, uh... comment, I guess.
If you want to use BPM changes, make sure that the changes start where it sounds like the song changes. The BPM change should have been placed a bit farther down there at the first note in measure 13. (if you had to put a change in there)... Because you changed the BPM in the middle of one of the loops. At the end of measure 12, were the 12th jacks are... Those steps go to the loop you cut with the BPM change. I hope you get what I'm saying, because I'm not good at explaining things... Anyway, there's this thing people use called MixMeister BPM Analyzer. It said that the BPM for the (G) mix is 118.18. Yeah... And now for a bit about the stops in your (P) mix file... The stops weren't consistent. In example, in the measures 15 through 18 or so... you put stops at that one sound... But you put the stops all around the sounds. If you had to put stops there, they should have been at the same spot before each sound. And also... When you use stops, the stops should be related to the BPM. It seemed like you were trying to make 16th note stops. With the BPM of 120, skipping a 16th note would be about... .63 seconds long, not .50. (at a beat, put in the "current second" in to a calculator, go a 16th note [or however long of a pause you want] back... and minus the new Current Second from the old one.) Oh, and the BPM for this one is 127.18 The songs may have BPM changes in them, and the way to detect that is to listen for an obvious change in pace in the background loops. I hope that... helped... |

Re: The Professor is in! (Sonic fans stop by here!)
I may be able to do the sim for E-102 Gamma, but I will need the song sent and at least the BPM already set up fot it. I'm just a little rusty in syncing songs.

The announcement sounds good. I haven't played the Sonic Adventure series, and thus haven't heard these songs. But I'll listen to a few and give one a shot.

EDIT: I saw them, played them & liked them. If you can make keyboard files for any of the songs not taken, PM me with what you would like to do. Last edited by Professor Raine; 07-28-2007 at 08:00 AM.. |

Bumping yet again. ^_^ (I really need to update this thread)
QUESTION!!! Should I do "The Concept of Love" from Jet Set Radio Future or "Twinkle Snow Act 2" from Sonic Advance 3? Last edited by Professor Raine; 09-4-2007 at 03:31 AM.. |
