New FFR Scoring system
I'm slightly confused at the new judgement system / over look on the R^3 Engine (I'm not the brightest) so idk how everything works. Can someone send me a guide or post an entire guide?

Re: New FFR Scoring system
So basically
AAA Equivalency is what your score on that given score would be equal to with an AAA on another difficulty. So for example my 3/0/1/0 on 3020 which is a level 74 calculates out to be as if I have a AAA on a level 71. The raw goods is basically telling you how many goods your score is equal to when you have averages, misses and/or boos. You know how people will say I have an SDG (which stands for single digit good) even though they'll have say 2 averages on a song? It's because the score still calculates out to what it would be if you had a score equivalent to having an SDG on a song. So this is showing you how many "goods" you have on a song if you translated the averages, boos and misses into goods. I'm trying to explain as best I can but I feel it's a little hard to.

Re: New FFR Scoring system
The results screen has so much stuff now - it's useful for very skilled/veteran players who might be eyeing up the leaderboards regularly, but it's an absolute eyesore for those using R^3 given that there was already quite a lot of stuff there. Let's break it down piece by piece.
As psychoangel mentioned, the "raw goods" part of the result screen tells you what your score is equal to in goods. An average is worth 1.8 goods, a miss is worth 2.4 goods, and a boo is worth 0.2 goods. Your raw good count will always be good count + (1.8 * average count) + (2.4 * miss count) + (0.2 * boo count). A rainbow flag, or 1-1-1-1, would be worth 5.4 goods (1 + 1.8 + 2.4 + 0.2). It's a bit confusing to someone who doesn't know the math behind it. The AAA equivalency generates a raw skill rating value based off of your current score on the given song. The formula is rather complicated, but the take-home is the following: - a.) a perfect score on a given song will give you 100% of the difficulty rating for skill points (i.e. AAAing a 74 would give you a 74.00 points), and AAA equivalency scales downward based off of your good count, as well as the difficulty of the song: - b.) you will only receive skill ratings on the 15 best AAA equivalencies in your level ranks, and each subsequent score carries less "power" in your skill rating. Your AAA equivalencies are multiplied by their score weights, and then the 15 resulting numbers are added together to give you your final weighted average (your skill rating level, plus the % within that level). tl;dr: don't worry too much about the updates, they cause more confusion than they do help, imo Last edited by TC_Halogen; 07-1-2016 at 11:53 AM.. |
