Its a guitar Hero Simulator, and I don't like it because it crashes too often.

Worthy double post.

I'll post what I done in my thread here and let that one die.

Anyone played this? It's basically Guitar Hero, but on the PC. It's basically stepmania, but like GH. You use Enter as the pic and F1 to F5 for the frets.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frets_on_Fire

You can search and find a torrent with some of the songs from GH as well. Not to mention you can make your own.

I love it. Wireless keyboard = crazy solo poses.

Couple of things to note,

No wammie bar =(
No 2 player (I think)
At the end of you song you get your score, but there nothing to indicate what song it was, So I don't know how you would brag a score unless you film it.

It take alittle getting used to, I'll be playing this until I get GH. My left wrist is killing me, I'm right handed before anyone gets smart with me.

Is there a way to change the fret buttons? I hate playing left handed.

I find it's really good. I was linked to it when I was looking for Guitar Zero, which apparently was taken offline. Seth, do you know anywhere you can get some decent simfiles for it? I only have about 4-6 good ones. =/

EDIT:

First 5 star...

It was on Bang Bang Mystery Man on medium, which is probably one of the most enjoyable files I've played, even if the song sucks.

Where can I get more songs for this? I'm addicted, and 3 songs don't last very long...

It crashes sometimes. Here's some more songs, although most of them aren't very good...

Most of those songs are so poor, Out of the first batch of songs I've only found 3 songs worth playing.

I think I may try my hand at making some decent simfiles for it. Any suggestions for songs to step?

Do some good Dream Theater, or Nevermore, or Pain Of Salvation, or Opeth, or....

There is alot of good stuff out there.

Hasn't crashed on me either, except for once when I was running Windows in safe mode. That doesn't count.
