Looking for Jazz music.
I really enjoyed the work done by Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts from Cowboy Bebop, but now I want some more fast paced jazz to listen to. I was wondering if anyone had some bebop and possibly fusion jazz artists they knew of? Maybe some song titles too? I really want some more.
Also, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, if it is, then would one of the mods or admins be so kind as to move it? Thanks to anyone who can help me. |

Re: Looking for Jazz music.
buddy rich is a good drummer, but nowhere near fusion.
I suggest you listen to Jeff Lorber, Yellowjackets, or the Dave Weckl Band -Merky

Re: Looking for Jazz music.
Fusion:
The Adventures of Astral Pirates by Lenny White. Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock, and maybe his other like 50+ studio albums. Bebop: Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk Maybe mix some Sonny Rollins or Charlie Parker in. Also, for general jazz interest, discover the awesome of Miles Davis. Also, Media. Jazz is awesome and you should really continue listening to it; it's fascinating. Last edited by DoctorSerpentine; 12-18-2008 at 04:10 PM.. |
