Iowa Caucuses tonight
With the Iowa Caucuses starting tonight, I'd like to hear which Republican YOU would prefer to run against President Barack Obama.
FYI: The United States presidential election of 2012 is the next United States presidential election, to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. The President and the Vice President of the United States on December 17, 2012, will be chosen. Last edited by DotKritic; 01-3-2012 at 03:33 PM.. |

Re: Iowa Caucuses tonight
Not to sound like a typical druggie libertarian, because i could really care less what his views are on marijuana legalization, but Ron Paul is without doubt the most legitimate candidate, and the only person willing to stand up against our corrupt federal reserve system. He doesn't go out of his way to make people happy, he always says what he feels controversial or not. The only reason he won't win is because of the controversy surrounding his views on foreign policy, and the simple fact that a lot of people don't think he has what it takes to have enough sway in the general election. Every other candidate is just a corporate spokesperson speaking on behalf of the financially elite who want to ensure that they can be the next AIG should things get to that point. It's important to note, that I hardly find any coverage done on Ron Paul on any news network which is a little bit more than odd considering, he is by far giving romney a run for his money than anyone else. Seems to me like a deliberate wittholding of Ron Paul publicity, to ensure an agenda that benefits the corporate world, the same one controlling the media that is portraying this entire thing. Bottom line, Ron Paul is legit. Who cares if a lot of his devout followers are libertarians and isolationists, he stands for what he believes in, and it's evident enough to me for him to have my vote over any other.

I thought being an lds politician with reasonable enough policies would be enough to solidify my vote, but it's not. He's just like the rest bro.

Top 3 choices would be Huntsman, Santorum and Paul (some of his policies are good, but some are so far out so I wouldn't want him to win the republican ticket).

Re: Iowa Caucuses tonight
i don't care if it's a republican or democrat to be the next president (considering i don't really like politics). If the guy has views that I myself consider awsum then that's my vote. Ron Paul.

Re: Iowa Caucuses tonight
huntsman has literally 0 chance of winning
I would give anything to see Ron Paul at the presidential debate, but I would also pretty much give anything to make sure he doesn't actually become president. I guess, then, I would probably want to see Romney win, seeing as how he strikes a nice balance between not being completely insane and being electable.

The choices are always between a giant douche and a turd sandwich anyways, but the stock this time around is terrible. I wouldn't vote for any of them.

Re: Iowa Caucuses tonight
I'd love to see Bachmann get nominated. That'd definitely seal the deal for Obama. Sarah Palin would be equally hilarious.
ALL of the Republican candidates are lunatics, really. Ron Paul's got the most integrity but I strongly disagree with his views. Obama's smarter than the rest of them -- I don't agree with him fully -- but jeez, he's leagues above these guys. |

Re: Iowa Caucuses tonight
robertsona spreads the word, pt. 1: ron paul, rick santorum, bachmann, gingrich all signed a pledge that would only allow people w/ anti-abortion views to key government posts. Theyre Cool Guys
“To put rape or incest victims through another trauma of an abortion, I think is too much to ask.” - Rick Santorum (he literally said this)

Re: Iowa Caucuses tonight
Ron Paul seems the most feasible out of all these candidates. Bachmann and Perry are homophobic to the core, and Gingrich is a fucking scumbag, I'm sorry.
