Keyboard Help Please
I bought a Cordless Desktop® MX™ 3200 Laser keyboard recently to upgrade my old one. The thing had like half its buttons worn away and all the arrow keys worn away. (Guess what game bought that to happen? ^_^ ) But anyway, with this new keyboard and almost soundless key typing when button mashing video games I went to my favorite intrawebs site FFR to test out if I won't get any lag doing double step jackhammers. (I think that's the right step term.)
For some reason, I'm pretty sure it is the keyboard, the game isn't recognizing like 50% of the keys I press. I can barely pass Difficult setting songs whereas on my PoS old keyboard For Masters Only songs were a challenge to address. Something is causing this problem and I have tried things from searching My Control Panel to updating my keyboard and mouse from Logitech's website. Can anyone shed some light on my problem? I'm sure from the hundreds of thousands of players, someone is using the same keyboard as I and looks at the forums frequently who doesn't have this same problem. Pleeeeeeeeese, any feedback would be appreciated. |

Re: Keyboard Help Please
So you are saying because it is cordless, I am having lag from the signal reaching the USB on my tower to the game online?

Re: Keyboard Help Please
Yeah, the communication between your wireless keyboard and your computer takes a lot longer than it would if you had a keyboard with a standard USB input that goes straight into the tower.
By 'a lot longer', I mean something on the order of one or two tenths of a second, but it makes a huge difference when you're playing this game. |

Re: Keyboard Help Please
Hmm, well that completely sucks. I swear I played this game on my brother's computers when my RAM slots fried and it worked fine. They have the same keyboards as this one. Guess I'll have to figure out something or just wait until I tire of this one and buy a different keyboard or try to sell it and buy one more suited for FFR and SM. Thanks foilman.
