SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
Stepmania Guidelines
Me, guil, Eze, Censorx, and a few others assembled this over the course of about a month. I hope this guideline will prove useful to FFR players who want to try out SM but don't know where to begin, and for SM players to set new goals for themselves. This list is by no means exhaustive, and anyone can help in adding new entries. Hope you guys like it <3 https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1381977525 Preview: Last edited by Candor; 05-18-2015 at 02:31 PM.. |

Re: SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
The difficulties seem consistently underrated. For example TOML AA is about low D6, not low d5. Also because of how skillsets differ, it's not significant to go beyond low, mid, and high into factors of .05 -- they can't be meaningfully compared.

Re: SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
Will this ever include passes or AAA's as well as just AAs?
Edit: just saw the disclaimer, I'm a freaking idiot

Re: SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
no problem,
quadra raised to 5.30, danshi lowered to 5.50, heartbeatz lowered to 5.40. I still think danshi is harder than quadra tho. again these difficulties are by no means fixed, feel free to voice changes in the suggestions tab :> Last edited by Candor; 04-12-2015 at 10:53 AM.. |

Re: SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
I do have a few charts recommendation :> Will probs edit this out some more when I get the diffs probably sorted out (not in any particular order of difficulty)
BtE 1.1 AA/1.2 AA (PPP2) [Mid (1.1)-High (1.2) D5?] Papa Gonzales 1.2 AA (PPP2) Thermosphere 1.1 AA/1.2 AA (PPP2) [1.1 could be high D4, low D5. 1.2 low D5 as well, not too difficult to AA on] V1 1.3 AA (PPP2) Plasmatextor 1.0 AA (FFRCP Summer 2011) [Personally would have recommended this over the ODI3 one but w/e] Powershifter 1.0 AA/1.1 AA (NBJS3) Earth Quake 1.1 AA (ODI3) Disabled the Flaw 1.2 AA/1.3 AA (F5) Gigadelic 1.1 AA (PPP2) BF2014 1.0 AA/1.1 AA/1.2 AA (Red Fraction) Dick Jazz 1.0 AA (Red Fraction) =Planet KARMA= 1.0 AA (ODI2) That's p much all that I have now, I'll probably play these out in SM tomorrow to post my personal Division/Diff standings with these...

Re: SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
everything about this can be summed up by the fact that you think katayoku is harder than m-a 1.1

Quote:
Although M-A gives no breaks, the patterns are relatively easy and AA isn't hard if you manage your stamina well over the first half. Not many people will say M-A 1.1 is harder than katayoku. And according to icecubez, I should have been able to AA 1.1 when I was low d6. |

Re: SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
Some song suggestions:
Quasar (mid-high D2) + rates (seriously, who HASN'T played Quasar on a rate before) Eggman's OML (upper D3) My Spirit Will Go On (low D6? not 100% sure here) Also I personally think Vertex Beta is considerably harder than Heavenly Spores but that's just me IDK

Re: SM-FFR Conversion Guidelines
Spreadsheet updated with new song entries (mainly d2-d3), and a slight change in format, along with links to all the song pack downloads ~
Note the the difficulty ratings for d2-d4 are not entirely accurate atm, feel free to test and comment :> @James May Ill look into those, you can add them yourself if you want =w= Last edited by Candor; 04-14-2015 at 01:01 AM.. |
