It is quite an amazing show.

Personally love Peridot and Bismuth aorn, but I'm also a big fan of Pearl.

Connie + Steven are most likely my strongest ship too

I've only seen one episode and it wasn't that bad to be honest.
I should probably check out more of the shows that people have been yammering on about to me for the last year or two, gravity falls being among them.

Started watching Rick and Morty recently and I have been loving every second of it.

You should watch it for sure! The show starts off pretty good in season 1, but then only gets more and more spectacular as it goes on. Now it feels like the show can truly do no wrong.

Spoilers here, but it's things like this that make Steven Universe just so goddamn good:

Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead are two shows I've tried but just couldn't get that into. I think something about SU that's really appealing is the 11 minute episodes, you can watch them very easily in a short amount of time. The 45 minute episodes of the AMC shows really get to me sometimes.

Oh yea, all episodes of SU are available for free on Dailymotion. I use this Wiki to make sure I'm watching them in order.

fortunately this was just another generic cartoon to begin with so sjws didn't have to ruin much

No harm in watching the first couple of episodes and finding out what you think! The zanyness of AT is not there, but the show is still quite funny, while still making you feel from time to time. I think you'd like it, but idk for sure

EDIT: Had no idea Dr. Steve Brule had his own show now, will definitely be checking that out!

In terms of kids cartoons, Gravity Falls has far more "adult" appeal than Regular Show, Adventure Time or really any current Cartoon Network shows because

A. The serialized story is straightforward and concise
B. The boundary-pushing jokes aren't nearly as hackneyed or groan-worthy

On that note, nothing touches Rocko's Modern Life. I haven't gotten into Steven Universe myself.
