It depends how someone adapts to those survival circumstances imo. Some people are totally happy leaving and living off the land, and never see a need to return (see: Into The Wild), or moving to be a monk or part of a tribe lmao.

Overall its just that if you're poor while in circumstances that MUST involve money, it sucks. You might end up on the streets which would probably lead to worse things unless things turn around. If you're poor but in a situation that doesn't involve money (natives in the amazon or something) then it doesn't really matter much. Depends what system of capital you want to live with. Mind you there's obviously a lot that you have to independently accomplish by doing that, not easy, but some people live for it and like it better. You don't have to be devoted to scraping by when most of your time is spent doing things that you need/seeking them directly rather than working to be able to pay for it.

Medicine is obviously a concern here lol. Not saying I'd do it personally.
