I guess you should rephrase the "blacklisted" teams into something more friendly sounding.

Something like adding / changing the requirements list:

- You cannot be a member of the following teams for competitive purposes: Team Indeed, Team Pony.
- Teams you may duo join due to the more casual nature: Team Pokemon & Debbie Downers.
