yes, using your music and then making the arrow points match up with the beat, it would be fun to make your own levels

You should download the most stable version, 3.9.

You should also look around for some tutorials on how to import songs. I would tell you, but I'm not really good at describing things. =/

Download Stepmania first. Go to the Stepmania Editor to start stepping. This could be of benefit to you.
