RuneScape went F2P(er)
They made it so that you can purchase your membership with in-game money at the rate of ~6Mgp = 2 weeks membership.
Now go give your lives back to Jagex. P.S. if you've been away for a while, 6M is like 2-3 hours of work in current RS instead of 2-3 years like it was in 07. |
Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
So they went the Eve plex route

Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
I don't even have 6M anymore.. can F2P just sell member items and get membership that way or, what lol?

Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
R.I.P in pieces all blackmarket account upgrade services. Before today, Runescape Membership went for 30-40M/month on Sy**e. As an active buyer and seller, I am very interested to see what will happen to the account upgrade market now that the prices have been slashed almost in half and become a public and legal service by Jagex.

I found this topic genuinely interesting because I've bought every month of membership on my account through rsgp. Looks like I can keep doing so, except, you know .. legally. THAT'S NO FUN!! :( |
Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
oh hey legal fun...
wheres the fun in that |
Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
whoaa that's crazy
|
Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
I remember trolling on runescape by going to some place with a coal mine as a level 3 bald guy in a monk uniform with a rune pickaxe and then mining the coal before everyone else did
Good times |
Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
What OP failed to say is that it costs $5 for one of the items to enter the game. :P

Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
I played runescape 8 years ago, is it any better now O:

Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
I quit this game because of EoC.

Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
People payed for runescape?
|
Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
My Opinion: *shrugs* Runescape used to be decent game. However, they ruined their own game and it was obviously seen/discussed during the bot/black market thing going on. It was somewhat ruined at this point but once EoC came out... Meh... They just destroyed it completely. While I admit, I like their ideas, it just ruined the game itself.
@ Topic: Err... Really? I suppose that is somewhat a way to recover players back but, eh... I retired from that game and I don't intend to go back to it. I wish I finished my mining/smithing/magic levels but I just didn't get there. (They were all in the 90s.) ~ SpoOkyMagician |
Re: RuneScape went F2P(er)
yeah, I'm already aware about the bonds
now if they dropped in GP a bit (I barely have 6mil remaining lol), I'd play RuneScape with my clanmates for 2 weeks just for one last time (lost interest in the game in general tbh - old school servers got boring fast) Quote:
