Highscores in-game.
So I was pondering about this idea, while looking through the Freedom Dive scores. I was thinking that the FFR scoreboard at the end of a song should display let's say the first 50 scores or so instead of just the top 10. This scoreboard would be a great way to know how well you are doing on newer/harder songs. It gets pretty boring seeing names like "DossarLXODI" or "TC_Halogen" or "AlexDest" and even "samurai7694" over and over again, with a AAA score only qualifying you for the in-game highscore list. Seeing where people place until the next score would inspire people to make a goal, or give people that deserve more recognition exactly that. +1 if you like, is this a good idea?

That's why they invented top 200 in levelranks.
I get where you're coming from with this thread, but besides the levelrank compare page and using levelranks of people around your level, there's not much to do. I don't really see a point to add more code in the game especially for something you can already find fairly quickly. |

I see your point. Just thought it would be something nice to have considering that the FFR servers are getting a little slower than they used to (at least for me).

I'd be all for not having to go to a separate web page to see a larger scale highscore list and just adding a scroll on the 10 given highscores in-game and adding more, but I can agree with Hakulyte that it's not the most needed addition right now given the fact that you have the option of going to a separate webpage to see more.

It would be nice to see this implemented, but the fact is there are still lots of other things all over the site that need to be updated.
good idea though, maybe in the future something like this could be added also. if it were to be top 50, then the scoreboard would have to be updated to show atleast the top 250-500 players. all in all i'm for it but i'm not hoping for it to be done asap |

I feel like the top 10 in game should be the last 10 people to AAA.

Sure this is already possible through the level stats, but it could be a little more convenient through the engine. why not just code it so when you're at the credits screen the song title will be a link to the scorepage

If you don't make top 10 highscores or most likely AAA then you wont get on the scoreboard. If 10 new people come and AAA the song after you've played it without AAAing then they will make up the top 10. If then you AAA it after all those people but had played it prior to all of them you wont show up on the top 10 and never will. |

Not sure anymore. Haven't checked since legacy engine. Velocity might have fixed it.
Go to a song that you've already AAAed and then re AAA it and see if you get top 10. |

I'd rather see it display the top 10 ranks around the rank you just got. Like if you got a score that ranked 54 the drop box for the ranks would display ranks 50-60 or something like that. That way you would be able to see the scores around yours and not just a definite rank 1-50 type deal.
