DDRStream PostSupernova Released (Happy New Year!)
 

With a New Year comes a new pack that has been in the works for a year and a half! I am pleased to present DDRStream PostSupernova, the second release of the DDRStream series consisting of 50 songs that were in Dance Dance Revolution after Supernova. Every song has all five singles difficulties filled out from Beginner to Challenge. This is geared towards 4-panel pad play and the files all have the +0.009 offset bias applied for r21 machines.

I would like to thank the following people for helping with this pack:
- StarrySergal: For contributing five songs.
- Darwyn: For contributing two songs.
- yubito: For getting up clean versions of the songs after they were released.
- Goldstinger: For going through the offsets of all 50 songs and finding 17 that got adjusted afterwards. Although most were between 0.001 to 0.004 off, it was nice to have another pair of eyes and improve it even more. :)
- debit13: For some difficulty feedback. He convinced me New Era Challenge should be a 17 (it was originally put down as a 16).

Are these current DDR ratings or ITG ratings?

They're 1-17 on an ITG rating scale. But for some guidelines on converting DDR to ITG ratings, I've found the following to be useful:

DDR => ITG
15 => 10-11
16 => 11-12
17 => 12-13
18 => 12-14
19 => 14-17
20 => 17+

A lot of problem with the variance comes from how certain charts are structured. NGO for example is an 18 while a chart like IX is also in the same bracket, yet they are both completely different beasts to pass.

Trying to improve my KAC 9th qualifier scores even though I have 0 shot of qualifying over Chris lol.

The format of who goes as a finalist is biased towards Asia.

If you look at which 5 are considered, there is:
- North America
- Asia
- South Korea
- West Japan*
- East Japan*

*Japan gets two regions, Top 16 for semi finalists to determine which 2 will go to the KAC.

This means North America has 1 slot out of the 5, even though three of the Top 5 qualifiers are from North America.

Yup. And it's a shame NA doesn't get multiple slots because we have a lot of talent.

Also a shame Fefemz is likely going into active military duty for SK and likely will be out of competitive for awhile.

Have you considered stepping the 20th Anniversary Megamix by DJ KOO?

I think this would make for a pretty fun stamina marathon, though the hardest part would EASILY be Saber Wing and that would probably drag this up to a 21 lol
