6 years playing. My keyboard is crying.

It's a lot to read plus a lot of scores so I included spoiler tags in case you want to read more and view the screenshots.

It has been 6 years since I joined this site and nearly 3 years since I got this keyboard which has helped me get better at FFR and SM, and I thank Plan B once again for sending it to me through mail. It seriously has gone through a lot of beating. I thought I had reached a plateau, but with a combination of changing noteskins, speedmods, and training on judge 7 for almost a year, I even surprise myself with how much I have improved.

I still pulled off some sick AAAs the past 2 days, even though some are unfortunate fails and unforgivable because I probably can't get any closer to beating it unless I play stepmania for longer amounts of time (these scores were from the past 2 days. yesterday I played for about 5 hours and the day before I played for 6 hours).

I'm still on break from FFR because I feel like I still have some weaknesses (left hand trilling, 16th note streams faster than 320 bpm, vibrating) but these scores I think put me at a new level that I thought I couldn't reach. At the moment I'm trying my best to get my tickets to Sweden for a meet up, although I have to convince my parents because I have school work to worry about as well so for the next week and a half I have to work my hardest.

Next on my agenda is to finish school, and maybe make a FFR/SM protip video series to help others since I've been getting a lot of questions from beginner/intermediate players and thought it would be nice to cover all of that on youtube. I'll still stick around of course, but I need to set my priorities straight. Education is important, and I blew it in high school so my plan is to get that diploma soon. Therefore, I'm now going to focus on school, songwriting (as a hobby), and finding a job. On free times, I'll still be playing here and there hopefully.

On an added note, I always saw FFR/SM as a way to cope with depression, and it makes me feel warm inside knowing how far I went from getting a C in Disregard late-2008 to now. I need this same motivation in life to help me move forward.

This may very well be my last thread of this year because I feel kind of bad for posting way too much lately lol. There's still room for improvement so I'll stay hidden for a bit longer then come back next year and sdg FFR's RATO or something stupid like that. Anyway, these are all posted in chronological order from 2 days ago to yesterday's last score. Enough sob story, it's time to show off the scores that aren't meant for mortal eyes *insert generic eerie music*

Kanikuly AAA - I unfortunately got 2p from the part before the jumpstream which I sometimes quad. Patterns are still awkward but I find it somewhat fun to play.

munsie's OP AA - This was during warm-up along with Kanikuly and I honestly could have AAA'd if my left hand wasn't so flimsy. Posting for accuracy.

Magic Speedball Edit AA - I don't know how many others have DDP'd this. The sdcb was possible but I got one random miss in the beginning and like 2 in the 32nd roll transition near the end. PA is impressive.

Livin' in a Werble AA - I don't know. I'm just posting for nostalgia since I remember playing this on SMO with Rebound, haha.

Jamais Deux AA - Wow that accuracy. CB's were cool but I seem to always have trouble in that one particular 32nd note burst (it's a split roll pattern and I seem to never be able to read it well).

Disregard AA - Ha. I choked balls at the trills and killed my chance of doing it (where else?). I impressed myself when I AAA'd the entire stream, even the one at the end after the trills. MA is wtf.

Eclipse (Solar) AA - Ouch. If the trills in Disregard weren't fast enough, how about something a bit faster? I really thought I had this one. Oh well.

Sandstorm (3 minute version) AAA - So apparently I'm good at wristjacking. Hey Isaac, let's have a friendly battle to the SDP

Minion133's OP AAA - I honestly have no words for this. So I'm just going to type "lol" as my response.

Milky Blue Heavy AA - At this point I'm looking up at the sky and saying "Are you fucking kidding me right now?" That MA is almost untouchable considering I gave my 100% on every section and quadded some of the trills.

sp1nzoK's op AA - The quads kill me every time. Oh well.

Pikachu Loves Hentai AA - I'm a bit iffy about this score but I think it was nice. There was one random miss in the beginning. Destroyed the big roll/spin stream by AAA'ing it though :) the rest was from the stupid ending.

Electro Rush x8 (stargroup) AA - I'm just getting used to seeing these kind of scores and just went "fuck it, I'm going to continue playing for MA reasons". I like how close the MA is to my score on Rebirth's file.

A ballad for Cetaka AA - Posting for MA. Those cb's look really funky lol.

Throw Some D's AAA - Impossible to quad unless I can hit that 32nd note jumpjack. Eh, my left hand caused a lot of the perfects but I still like the AAA.

Puppet's 300 BPM practice AA - Posting for cb's because the stream patterns are atrocious though not as bad as Vertex GAMMA. Best cb's ever? Max combo looks silly though.

Rebound's OP (aka WE AIN'T PLAYIN' song) AA - Wow, what did I just do. No really. What? I nearly AAA'd this son of a bitch until I messed up on a right hand mini trill. I think the greats were from the ending bursts, I don't know, I didn't see any greats while I was playing ;__;

Death Reveals (Glove) AA - This right here makes this thread. The miss came randomly during a stream, and I swear it was the keyboard and not me. I might get the AAA on video if I can find a decent tripod. Brace yourself, this is ridiculous.

That's pretty much it. Like I said, a lot of fail scores :'( Now on a brighter note, I got a cool FC that used to be a long time stepmania goal that I made years ago, plus two final easy AAAs.

Amen Iraq AA FC - It felt so good to hit that final note knowing I had accomplished an old goal. Accuracy is okay, but can be improved. Those bursts are really nasty.

reverse Ghost AAA - I improved my best by a few perfects and that's about it haha. Maybe I can SDP this if I'm lucky.

Fire AAA - This was just for shits and giggles. My left hand is much better at jacking now, so this was sort of a fun AAA, even though it's a pain to force myself to quad every jack I see, especially with some of those anchor patterns caused by jumps.

I spent a LOT of time making this thread so I hope you at LEAST check out these scores! Thanks to all the friends I made on here throughout the years. Shoutouts to every person I got to know and talk to in this community as well as those I got to meet in person at Anime North in Toronto (which btw I recommend you people going to next year). In case she ever has a chance to read this in the future, here's a very special shoutout to Nicole (RB_Quackies) who has helped me a lot with getting through tough times this year as well as being a true best friend. Have a happy thanksgiving. I'm out to make dessert for later and gain a few pounds. Peace

I want to comment on each and every score but it's gonna take forever, so I'm gonna post, then edit with all my comments.

These scores are INSANE dude wtf....

edit: on second thought, I can't write enough awesome things about any of these. Seriously, they're all unfathomable to wrap my head around the MA at those levels of speed.

You are an true stepman....

But yeah man, cool scores and I hope that you do well in school. Also, thanks for the J7 advice, it helped me MA shit that I was not able to MA before.

EDIT: Thank to you, I am now going to push myself even further into my J7 training.

Those are all absolutely amazing scores, especially MA-wise. Good luck finishing school and looking forward to more scores and the guide.

I don't understand these scores rofl

I've also been thinking about doing a weekly stepmania video, but it'd be more about general stepmania stuff (like new files, packs, notable scores and videos, upcoming simfile artists and music artists). Maybe I'll start that up for real next week, if I have the time.

thanks for the replies! I'm a bit concerned about a certain swollen part in my neck that I had for weeks. Soon I'll get to see a doctor and hopefully he'll say it's nothing too serious.

yea, I'll post pictures of my keyboard soon when I get back home tomorrow
