Well, I sure did not expect Totoro to be like that in a good way. The cat bus thing tho makes me feel like it may have scared me a bit if I was a kid lol. The quality/animation was also far beyond expectations for something that aired in 1988. Good family friendly movie imo. :)

I only played on Sorie for a month and got these stats + nearly every tokens at same time. I have a lot of trouble at making myself play at my best. I tend to get lazy and go for easier goals.

Well, I usually warm up on FFRMania and when I feel like it I eventually do song rotations for AAAs or goals. I rarely play the harder songs unless I feel like the score can be beaten within a few tries.

Goals tend to be met when I'm not trying to go for them because this is also when I'm having the most fun. This is actually why I play the way I do.

I see songs like puzzles that needs to get solved and every time I get a good, I see it as a hint that I did something wrong. After that point, I usually proceed to mess around with settings and hand posture/setup until I find something that works well together. That makes songs in my skill range fun and songs slightly out of my comfort zone pretty uninteresting because I usually come to the conclusion that there's no point to even play them if I cannot potentially AAA every section isolated. I only revisit harder songs if I feel like it may help with FFR Rank or if I can beat my score by like 10-25+ goods.

My biggest hurdle on most of the 75-90 range songs is purely psychological. There's no reason for me to doubt in my ability to AAA that song and yet I keep surprising myself with random derps like this:

like you, i've known the rules for a while (since i was 6 yrs old) but only took it more seriously when i was like 9, where my dad took me to tournaments. i quit for like 5 years when i was 11, at which point i was only about 1450 strength. then about 2 yrs ago i started it again by playing on chess.com.
good luck getting your rating up...it's a real grind

The main obstacle is that I have school 8 hours/day now except weekends and my deadline is Anime North. xd

Oh yeah, the reason why I overfarm excite bike is because I plan to play songs on rate for play time and playing songs on rates doesn't count as a ranked play.

Ideally, I want to play very easy songs for play time because playing hard songs is more tiring and I'm more likely to take a break sooner if I play 70+. Rates also doesn't influence length so, I cannot play something on like 2x rate to make play time move twice faster. So, I was just planning to play excite bike until I meet the number for ranked plays and then randomly give myself "fun oriented goals" with rates and easier songs. Fun is important for playing longer. At least for me. Playing something like VS Boss Battle over and over here by example would be pointless.

If you get 9 more AAAs, you will pass someone in AAAs. That would fill me with DETERMINATION! xd

Just go for it if you want. I'm waiting for a stable setup.

Now I wonder where you're going to be if you finish cleaning ranks. I'm guessing FFR avg rank 4, but I'm not sure what number in public levelranks. gratz on 1800+ btw! :)

Yeah, you really need to commit to these jack patterns at the end. Surprisingly fast for the difficulty of the song. Mirror helped me because I'm right handed.

It wouldnt make sense to be even a level 93 and just play easy songs on mp when I know people will pick hard stuff inevitably and then I'd be a buzz kill and be like "eh I dont do hard stuff no mo" rofl
