AND also finished a REALLY busy Junior year of high school! That year would have been NEAR PERFECT if it weren't for the class of ENGLISH! I don't mind the business, but I DO mind keeping busy on things I don't enjoy, and those things ARE CONSTANT! THEY NEVER END!
I swear to god if the subject is worse Senior year, I'm going to throw a HUGE FIT, because I am now under the responsibility of SEP! Like many others I will shadow during the school year, which means I will be taking every single opportunity after school I can to shadow a studio that I think I will really enjoy. I can;t do Mondays or Thursdays because of Marching Band rehearsals after school, so I have to be wise on Tuesdays after school, Wednesdays after school, and the weekends!
If I can do THAT, then Senior year WILL FOR SURE be a year to remember!
Also, in less than a week, I will depart to go on a two-week trip across seven different countries in Europe! I will be singing and playing percussion. There will be a lot of music and a lot of fun! It's my reward for having an overall really good Junior year!
That being said, cheers to another year of pain, tirelessness, and most of all accomplishments, success, and most of all, fun!
And second semester it's only going to get busier from here.
Aside from school, I'm participating in various music events such as...
The Symphonic Band (rehearsals every Tuesday),
the Vail Youth Symphony (rehearsals every Monday),
the Tucson Philharmonia Youth Orchestra (rehearsals every Staruday),
second semester's Copper Thunder Marching Band (which includes a week long trip to Orlando),
and the most time consuming of all would be the school Musical, combining the skills of the Show Choir and Advanced Drama classes (rehearsals are days when my part is needed, Ensemble)
EDIT: It's every single day after school for the next 3 months. That's incredible!
I'm a bit nervous about this, because there can be major conflicts I have with the Musical that interferes with required rehearsals in other music events.
However, if I can manage to do this without being stressed out, and instead having tons of fun, then I will only grow as a young man; and this should all be a lot of fun!
Also, I did this...
That took me almost all of New Year's eve to make and refine! I'm pretty proud of it, made me dance every time!
That's all I have to say for now, and here's to a happy, joyful, tireless, and fun 2017! :D
Yea, I didn't play much today, but apparently, my fingers allowed me to play well today getting good scores from Rave 1, Devil Plays Dance Games, and STRAWBERRY SWEETZ; which also allowed me to level up to 74, and made me fairly close to the borderline zone of D6, which is scary!! :O
EDIT: Here are the plays I did in 10 minutes.
Also, first quarter of junior year on high school is coming to a close, two weeks until fall break as of now. As usual, my GPA is maintained at over 3.5, so I'll end the quarter with all As and two Bs if English doesn't collapse to a C. :/
I also made it to the Tucson Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, or the TPYO, and the songs selected and the players make it sound AMAZING! I had my first rehearsal yesterday, and the director herself commented on the timpani on one of the songs and said "Boy, he can play timpani!" Felt great, shows the potential I can make of my skills by participating in the program!! :D
Any thoughts or comments on this regard? Can't play too often because of school, so whenever I feel like I'm all ahead and caught up, I'll play and see how I fare, at the moment!
But that's all I wanna say for now, will make more future thoughts if more things happen, of course! ;-)
