I Hate This

I won't be playing FFR for awhile. The reason is because the laptop that I got from the UConn School of Business died on me.

At first they thought it was a problem with the hard drive. However, when they re-imaged the drive and put it back into the laptop, it still didn't work. So they decided to put in a new hard drive and it still didn't work. Therefore, the problem wasn't the hard drive, but possibly the motherboard, which means I got my drive wiped for nothing.

The School of Business gave me a loaner [laptop] until they could fix my laptop, but the RAM on it is 504 MB. So it lags on FFR. If you are wondering about how much RAM I had in my laptop, it was .99GB.

Gods I hope they fix my laptop soon.

Edit (12-14-07): Well, I now have my laptop back. Hopefully the problem has been fixed. I was told by the people at tech. service that the problem was with the hardware and they had to re-seat some of it. I asked what part got reseated but I got no answer to my question. Hell, when I asked if I could get a copy of the paperwork, I was told that no I couldn't, but there was a record on file.

I pray that my laptop doesn't break during the winter break.
