yea i feel the same way, thats japanese culture, they like damsels in distress lol. oh yea i didnt understand how rukia couldnt beat that hollow in the very first episode cuz supposably she is strong enough to be a captain. so really she shouldnt have needed to give ichigo shinigami powers and break the rules. BUt yea without that, then there wouldnt be a story XD
