Those nights

The nights turn to black.
The wind stops its course.
The world slowly turns silent.
All eyes on the lonely figure.
Gasping for breath.
Dropping the blade.
The dark turns to white.
Angelic figures appear.
For the figure had taken,
their last breaths.
Eagerly trying to meet,
their true love.
Who'd past only months before.
