Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
It looks average quality of the batch is getting better recently...
And yeah, "Judgement Deadline" and "Who judges what files" are basically secret so far, just wait until notes are up. It shouldn't take THAT long. got and reviewed on it but sry I haven't concluded about the file (along with Mario's Mortal Kombat file) yet. I'll look into the detail again. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
I was just thinking, the bonus/penalty part makes it really ridiculously tough to get any extra points when there's only 3 judges on one file.
edit: kiwi just pointed out to me that max we can get now is 15/20 rating with only 3 judges lmfao

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
The three judges per team is new and the OP hasn't been updated with this system. Just wait or ask what the terms of an accepted file are.

Basically, 13 will be the minimum pass, and 12 (with a few 11s depending on rating distribution) will be the borderline zone. Hope that clears everything up! |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
I like the idea of 13 being a minimum pass, but we should keep in mind that it will make a ? an auto-reject, so I think if we see something like +/+/? or +/+./? we should get another judge to take a look at it.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
thats for files getting accepted though. I mean the points that allow you to be able to submit more files if you have so many of them.

The bonus points he's talking about (getting 3 ++'s or 4 ++'s on a file etc.)

13 = +1 SAP; 14-15 = +2 SAP (+1 for 15)? (this also implies a 13 point score is minimum for unconditional acceptance.) SAP=simfile artist points. ++'s will work in the same way, so: Getting ++ from 2 judges -> bonus +2 Getting ++ from 3 judges -> bonus +5 Clearly no ++ from 4 judges because there are only 3 judges per team. The amount of points given might change, but the system will stay the same. Last edited by Niala; 10-8-2011 at 04:35 PM.. |

Basically what Niala said.
+/+/+ will be 2 points, might give 3 points for ++/+/+ this time. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
Variations of 11/12 will be considered borderline, not auto-rejected. There's still a chance that it can pass when given to future judges.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
Yeah, but from what I've seen the requirements for borderline files are really strict. If it's a file that needs one or two big fixes and is otherwise good it might get +. or + from a fourth judge, but it'll get a lot of "yes w/ fix" in the borderline voting and that only gives 1/2 points.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
If a person feels like they received unfair ratings and ended up in the borderline area, they have a right to appeal too -- JX does make the final calls for files anyway.
